It would never happen. You're right, but this is less to do with us being evil, more to do with the fact that J&K and AK have been integrated into the rest of their respective societies.

With all due respect Vstol ji, the times have changed.
The situation is not the same, nor will it ever be after 2014.

by all means, when and if he visits again before he's kicked out of office.
    Kill the bastard

Because India is too big and powerful to allow that. And whether Pak RECOGNIZES it or not, not only are we the pre-eminent power in South Asia, and in keeping with that status, we run the relationship and power structure in our neighborhood. That's not unique to India- US would do the same with Brazil and Canada, Russia with Ukraine, China with it's immedeate neighbors. In our neighborhood we won't run to the UN on everything big and small because it is not in keeping with our status as a large and important player- we typically go that route on global issues beyond our area of influence. Our role is to set the agenda of the UN in our sphere of influence, not to toe it. Besides, a lot of these requests from Pak in the past are usually delaying tactics.

Ahmed Patel had introduced her to Rajiv in UK after tasting the fruits of virginity and even today has an interconnected room in 10 Janpath with her bedroom as the RUMOURS have it. These are not my words but just rumours!!!!!.

Good way of thinking of it.
But the cost of not doing so is higher, IA looses credibility massively on international stage, IA will be seen as an irresponsible power with something to hide. Pak's requests were antonymous with outlandish claims.

It was well within your BEST interests to go for the probe, if you still maintain the IA's narrative of events.

If not that why not a public inquiry in India and Pakistan. PA would be ready for this, I know from sources. Public inquiry, that I hope isn't spearheaded by sensationalist media.

    No, the US will withdraw.
Two types of ethnic tensions will die down in Pakistan: Shia-Sunni, and Baloch/Punjabi/Pushtun (though these are minute).
Two types of tensions will surface in Afghanistan: Shia-Sunni, Pushtun and farsiwan/dari.

After US withdrawal, Pakistan will return to stability.

Edit: by 2014, more competent GoP will take power OR revolution will take place.

NO- IA won't lose any credibility and not be seen as an irresponsible power at all. Whether we accept UN mediation or not, we will definitely be ringing up all our cunterparts around the world with evidence to support our view and get them on board. Besides, PA is the one which has been battling for credibility till now- hiding Osama, supporting Jihadis- how many times have you seen any serious allegations of 'irresponsibility' of that sort being alleged against us? You think that sort of a track record helps?

    & JB-

TILL DATE the PA has maintained that they had no role in hiding osama or playing a double role in Afg. You think the world thinks your army isn't capable of this?

And you guys ought to be thankful that's how we look at it. You guys have no clue about how the world was moving and your governments had no real interest in protecting the larger interests of this region. While your generals were busy scheming in Pak and Sri Lanka was in it's umpteenth convulsion, the west was getting ready to screw us on everything from tade negos to environmental qquotas. There was no real strength in the response that many of the countries put out. It was India that led a strong opposition to them and tried to get our region's interests better protected. Fat chance we'll ever get thanked for that,
