    DRDO:
    Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was formed in 1958 by the merger of the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defence Science Organisation.

    Some of the Achievements of DRDO are:
    Missile system:

    • AGNI-V - Inter Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM)

    • Light Combat Aircraft - TEJAS
    This is the costliest and longest going programme of DRDO. It is a 4+ generation fighter plane developed by Aeronautical Development Agency
    • INS ARIHANT - Nuclear Powered Ballistic Missile Submarine
    • RUSTOM - II - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
    • ARJUN - Main Battle Tank

    • DRDO inks MoU with IIT Delhi to establish JATC
    • DHRUV - Advanced Light Helicopter
    • INSAS - Indian Small Arms System
