    Good fiction. :drag:
It's now on 3 year per development phase. Full development will not start before 2019 June. Add approximately 10 years for IOC.

Funds issued for 1:1 (full scale) model .
Model Aims to test the full scale stealth will be ready by early 2018.

Will they use same composite materials for full scale model as they are making it to test stealth?

As per standard procedure, full scale model should have similar materials.
But there is no further information released for FSM.

India pushing full steam ahead on stealth fighter plane project

India is pushing full steam ahead on its plan to build an indigenous stealth fighter plane amid an uncertainty surrounding the proposed India-Russian fifth-generation fighter aircraft (FGFA), a top government official said on Friday.

While the advanced medium combat aircraft (AMCA) is still on the drawing board, doubts over the multi-billion dollar programme to develop the stealth fighter with the Russians appears to have lent fresh urgency to the AMCA project. Only the US, Russia and China have such programmes.

The first prototype could be built in 10 to 12 years if all goes according to the Aeronautical Development Agency’s plan, government sources said.

“If the FGFA project doesn’t work out for some reason, the AMCA could be a good alternative. However, that would be a long term plan as production will begin only around 2035-37,” a senior Indian Air Force (IAF) officer said.

A three-member government committee is all set to submit its report on the viability of the FGFA programme. The panel was set up 3 months ago.

India plans to cooperate with foreign military contractors on the AMCA project but no decision has been taken so far. European and American firms have offered technical consultancy for the stealth fighter programme.

Sources said India has also conveyed to Russia that the FGFA project should bring in technology that benefits the proposed Indian programme.

The sources said ADA was in discussions with companies such as Dassault Aviation and Boeing for the project but it would be premature to comment on who the foreign collaborator could be.

“It’s too early to even speculate about that as we have not even tested the AMCA airframe. That’s still around a year away. So all options are open,” the sources said.

The IAF has 33 fighter squadrons compared to an optimum strength of 42. It is hoping to beef up its combat potential with the induction of the Tejas light combat aircraft, more Sukhoi-30s, Rafale jets, the FGFA and a medium-weight fighter that could be built in India in collaboration with a foreign vendor.

This is hindustan times article without mentioning the source. The man who is stating that first prototype will come after 12 years is an officer not associated with ADA or hal. And the second one who is expecting it to be inducted in 2037 is air force officer. None of them are associated with AMCA development.
    Just an opposition propaganda.

Scientists and developers never pay attention towards them.
If STEALTH tests go well and with schedule than surely taxi trials will be done before 2023 and first flight before 2025.

2035 may be the Production plan of N-AMCA.

AMCA, as HAL claims, will feature a totally new concept in fighter aircrafts technology called self repair/self protection skin with the help of self diagnosing/healing. It works by distributing the system data/work load from affected to non-affected system. To achieve this, nanotechnology would be put into a general use to produce advanced composite materials to sustain heavy damage and reduce the effective damage area.

D.r. V.K Saraswat, chairman of DRDO confirmed that aircraft will use Self Repairing Flight Control Capability which will be used in the aircraft to automatically detect failures or damage in its flight control surfaces, and using the remaining control surfaces, calibrate accordingly to retain controlled flight. Usage of such adaptive neural networks would be the core feature in self healing as they can record all the faults occurred and also can learn from the previous faults.

    Airframe of AMCA

AMCA is envisioned to use carbon-fibre composites (C-FC), and titanium alloy steels for airframe construction. C-FC materials will be used in 80% of airframe by weight. It will also be used in the fuselage (skins and doors ), wings (ribs , skin, and spars), tailfin, elevons, rudder, air brakes and landing gear doors. The advantage of using composite materials is that it makes an airframe lighter and stronger at the same time compared to an all-metal design. AMCA is supposed to employ the highest percentage of composite materials for any other aircraft. Employment of composite materials helps in the fact that there are fewer joints and rivets, which increases the aircraft’s reliability and lowers its susceptibility to ural fatigue cracks in its structure with the majority of these being bismaleimide (BMI) and composite epoxy material. AMCA will also use structural nanocomposites, namely carbon nanotube reinforced epoxy. Stressed ducts in S-shape are rivetted with airframe with the loaded bulkheads constructed off composite materials spanning the aircraft from air intake to engine shafts.

Now which engine AMCA will have. GE one or One from Rolls Royce. Or both left engine from GE and right from Rolls Royce. :sarcastic::sarcastic::sarcastic:
