Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh has alleged connivance of the SAD-BJP government of Punjab in the daylight Nabha jailbreak on Sunday. Amarindersaid "the incident had exposed a complete breakdown of law and order in the state, while triggering fears of revival of terrorism ahead of the Assembly elections".

The shocking manner in which the gangsters walked into the high-security jail and freed a dreaded Khalistani terrorist along with other convicts clearly shows complicity at the highest levels, said Amarinder.

Talking to mediapersons at Sangrur during the second day of the second phase of his roadshow, Captain Amarinder said the law and order situation in the state had deteriorated to unprecedented levels under the Badal regime and that too, at a time when the Assembly polls are round the corner.

The rescue of Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) chief Harminder Singh Mintoo, accused in 10 terror-related cases, clearly suggested an active effort from across the border to revive terrorism in Punjab, said Amarinder.

The gangsters seemed to have driven fearlessly to the prison - they entered in police fatigues and escaped with Mintoo and others, without being stopped. It clearly indicates that it was a pre-planned assault, managed with the complicity of the highest authorities, said Captain Amarinder.

He expressed grave concern over the incident and said Khalistani terrorists were being fed across the border.
Captain Amarinder said such incidents were not only detrimental to Punjab's interests but also lower the morale of the police, which has been completely politicized under the Badal rule.
He demanded beefing up of security across the state to prevent recurrence of such incidents and strong measures to catch Mintoo and the others gangsters.
Mintoo, who was arrested in New Delhi in 2014, was accused of masterminding the 2008 attack on Sirsa Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, and was allegedly involved in planting of IED explosives at Halwara Air Force station in 2010.

I suspect Akali's are involved, they just took 10 minutes to break out from a high security prison. Either the whole thing is pre planned for an encounter or Akali's helped him break out b4 election loss.. Which doesn't make much sense as Akali-BJP could actually win in PUnjab...

exactly at this point just before elections, why would Akali's want to shoot itself on the foot?

In addition, 10 men walking with Automatic Rifles in the heart of Punjab without any security or intelligence alert is odd. Either Doval has started his focus on Kahlistan, or this is IC-814 2.0...
