Communication Minister and Awami League Presidium Member Obaidul Quader on Sunday said the present government is working sincerely to develop the overall communication network across the country.

"At the fag end of the government we are trying to complete our unfinished tasks including repair of the dilapidated streets. No more new commitments, we want to finish my commitments," he said this while inaugurating construction work of Kabai-Laxmipasha Road and a Ferry service under Bakerganj upazila on Sunday on Sunday morning.

He called upon party leaders and activists to work unitedly in favour of party nominated candidates in the upcoming general election.

Quader also spoke three other separate public gatherings in Bakerganj upazila areas and urged all patriotic people to remain alert against the deep-rooted conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat and anti-liberation forces.

Among others, Jatiya Party Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, MP, Advocate Talukdar Mohammad Yunus MP, Nasrin Jahan Rotna, MP and Bakerganj Upazila Chairman Shamsul Alam Chunnu accompanied the minister.
