This poll is about south asia, not about only India. If we add 4 to 5 city of only India, then meaning of this poll will come out as best city of india not south asia.

Yeah, you are correct, this poll is unfair. As no one is talking about the cities of Bangladesh, Pak and sri lanka. Men once again I want to remind you that this poll is about SOUTH ASIA not about only INDIA.

Not to be naive but, visit JSR once. It may not be high tech, but it also is able to fullfil the basic requirements like Electricity supply, infrastucture (proper roads to say the least), clean water supply; rarer slums; and one of the cleanest and greenest cities in India.
Not to mention it has been selected by UN for the global Compact cities pilot programme, the only city out of whole South-east asia.

kolkata is one of the best cities in the entire southern asia,be it about infrastructure or education or transportation or sanitation, everything.i think its very unfair not to include kolkata among the best cities option.but personally i would say that colombo is miles ahead from mumbai or delhi in terms of human index rating, infrastructure, transportation, educational institutes etc.

Please visit Ahmedabad and gandhinagar. You will find the good roads, good infrastructure, separate road lane BRTS for common people, industrial corridor outside city but adjacent to city ,24 hour electrical supply etc.

That's true. When it comes to cleanliness, Jamshedpur can beat any city ( in India at least) thanks to management by JUSCO (Jamshedpur Utility Services Company) and not by some government managed municipality. And it's got atleast one thing to brag about in education - XLRI, one of the best management institutions in India and the world. Heck only Jamshedpurians and visitors would understand it's worth. BTW where's Steel (a fellow Jamshedpurian )?
