NEW DELHI: The Opposition is preparing to take on the ruling Congress on the issue of rise in the assets of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.
On Tuesday, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said, "The matter is a serious one and the party is gathering documents to aise it with the prominence it deserves."
She said the party had "entrusted" leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley to collect facts on Vadra's rise.
CPM leader Sitaram Yechury was on the same track. "It looks like a serious matter and our party is ascertaining facts and will come up with a structured reaction on this," he said.
The opposition's interest in Vadra's assets stems from a report in the Economic Times on Monday which detailed how he had graduated from fashion accessories to diversify into real estate, hospitality and leasing of aircraft.

The moment Congress feels that it has won a double term, its expansionist dynastic mentality comes to the forefront. It has happened before.. it is happening again. This is its mentality; it can only be stopped by sheer defeat in a genuine democratic setup; not the mob rule that we have.

Strangely the mainstream media apart from ET which carried this story has been largely silence on this issue..Even in the case of wikileaks by The Hindu the channels except Headlines Today has given negligible airtime and I didnt find even a mention of it on NDTV.
