40 RSS men held for replicating republic day parade in Guruvayur
    Posted on: 27 Jan 2013

Guruvayur: As many as 40 RSS activists were held on Saturday for taking out a procession carrying a national flag replicating a republic day parade. Guruvayur police held them for taking out the parade violating rules.

The parade was planned from RSS Karayalayam at 9 am and to conclude at Karayalayam after covering the town. When the parade began, the police team led by SI VC Sooraj held them and the national flag was taken from them.

Other than the government parade, it is violation of law to take out parades by any political or other outfits. The case has been registered for taking out a parade without permission and for violation of law. But RSS leaders said though they sought permission it was denied. Protesting against this, RSS activists took out marches in all panchayats where RSS has holding office. The arrested were released on bail.

Well done, before secular sensibilities were hurt.
