Top image is representational. Its a regular 4 lane highway that passes off an 'expressway' in Tibet.

Our highways are 'expressways' by Chinese standards. Just like their 3 star hotels pass off as 5.

If you do not understand what the standard of expressway is, the following is the answer you need to know. Otherwise, what you said shows your ignorance.

Chinese expressway is controlled-access highway with at least 4 lanes. Your Indian highway is two lane way.

    Only 1455.4km Expressways in India

    Expressways of China

The expressway network of China is an integrated system of national and provincial-level expressways in China. By the end of 2016, the total length of China's expressway network reached 131,000 kilometers, the world's largest expressway system by length, having surpassed the overall length of the American Interstate Highway System in 2011.

    Controlled-access highway
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Motorway" redirects here. For the 2012 Chinese film, see Motorway (film).
"Freeway" redirects here. For other uses, see Freeway (disambiguation).

The interchange between US-131, M-6 and 68th Street in Wyoming, Michigan, shows many of the features of controlled-access highways—opposing traffic on separate carriageways, no at-grade intersections and no direct access to properties.

A controlled-access highway is a type of highway which has been designed for high-speed vehicular traffic, with all traffic flow and ingress/egress regulated. Common English terms are freeway (in Australia, South Africa and parts of the United States and Canada), motorway (in the United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand) and expressway (some parts of Canada, parts of the United States, and many Asian countries). Other similar terms include Interstate and parkway. Some of these may be limited-access highways, although this term can also refer to a class of highway with somewhat less isolation from other traffic.

When comparing the infrastructure(including expressway network, high speed railway network, ports and airports) between China and India, you can find out how poor the Indian infrastructure is and how far the Indian behind the Chinese.
