In a deep incursion, Chinese troops have entered the Indian territory in Daulat Beg Oldi(DBO) sector in eastern Ladakh and erected a tented post, setting the stage for a face-off with Indian troops.

A Platoon-strength contingent of China's People's Liberation Army(PLA) came 10 km inside the Indian territory in Burthe in DBO sector, which is at an altitude of about 17,000 feet, on the night of April 15 and established a tented post there, according to highly placed sources, which said that a Chinese Army Platoon usually consists of around 50 men.

Troops from Indo-Tibetan Border Police(ITBP) have also established a camp approximately 300 metres opposite the location, the sources said.

ITBP has asked for a Flag meeting with the Chinese side but there has been no response as of now, sources said.

When contacted, the spokesman of Udhampur-based Northern

Command Col Rajesh Kalia said," due to differences in perception of the Line of Actual Control(LAC) a few face-offs

take place in the eastern Ladakh side. These are resolved amicably through existing mechanism." He refused to elaborate.

The Ladakh Scouts, an Infantry regiment of the Indian Army and specializing in mountain warfare, has also moved towards the area where the situation was described as tense.

The place has not been known to have any permanent civilian

    population.

DBO, located in northernmost Ladakh, is an historic camp site and located on an ancient trade route connecting Ladakh to Yarkand in Xinjiang, China.

It lies at the easternmost point of the Karakoram Range in a cold desert region in the far north of India, just 8 km south of the Chinese border and 9 km northwest of the Aksai Chin LAC between China and India. Temperature plummets as low as minus 30 degree Celsius in the winters.

Other than Siachen Glacier military base, it is India's northernmost built-up area. The nearest inhabited town is Murgo to the south, which has a small population of Baltis who

primarily depend on apricot farming and yak rearing.

Our National Security at risk due to UPA's inaction on critical issues. All they do is wait for the problem to solve itself.

China will keep on intruding and that is their style of work,
They have done so in philippines and constructing permanent buildings in matters of days to claim the islands
It is not long before that the Tents might be hiding some digging or base for a permanent structure.

The Chinese intrusions are like Slums, there is one and builds a tent, and then there is another, and within a year they have an entire locality and they then claim that it was always part of China and they have settlement to show for it,
So we need to take notice of it and evict them out, using force if necessary.

Give Camel an inch and he will take an Ell,
The above phrase is very true in case of Chinese.

They should have just rounded them up and gunned them down,
and then kept quiet as if nothing has happened.

    Let China bring it up,
either China will keep quiet or make noise on international stage,
in both cases it stands to lose.

Not really, they are members of UNSC, we are not.
How can they lose if they have the possession? Who are going to take them out? OUR PATHETIC UPA GOVT?
Woh toh apna kaccha sambhal raha hai, doosro ko kya sambhalega

India's policy for china is the issue.....neither we are willing nor we are capable of facing off the giant ( lets get it straight we cant ryt now) , bt it dsnt mean our troops cnt stand them or we are weak.....it is just the international political situation....China is a giant in world politics and has a permanent seat in security council.....more over.....the current economic trend is on his side......it outnumbers us in various aspects.....the most important thing being in THE DEFENCE BUDGET.......and conflicting with china means conflicting on two fronts....i.e both east and west....as Pakistan is a mere puppet....and we canNOT stand a war on two fronts with current homeland security scenario......keeping in consideration the naxalites and separatists issue.

And there is no fixed LAC....so these incidents had happened and will keep on happening. the thing we can do is to take a political stand off....but considering our current "strong willed PM" IT SEEMS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE.

Nehru had tried something similar and everyone else knew it was a blunder, and then we now call these soldiers as "brave Martyrs" but in fact they were sent there by stupidity of our leader and we call them Martyr to hide the mistake of the leader.

China wants a war. We should form strong military ties with Myanmar. That is the only way.

I think that's an understatement of our power. India have the might to stand up to China & should just do it. I don't think Pakistan & China will attack India together, that might lead to a big war with involvement of other countries as well.

    he was an idiot,
he made is cousin the chief of army
a person who was a logistics officer.

with no experience of front-line tactics and maneuvers
against the advise and protest of more veteran officers.

so this carnage was bound to happen.

and when china invaded his cousin fell sick and remained in Delhi hospital
till the war ended. (You are smart enough to know why)
