In TN, BJP has nothing. Mostly anti BJP politics going on. But even in TN, All major parties without exception are on board with prohibition. Dunno why you think its a sign of BJP downfall honestly... seems its popular with the citizens.. ?

That combo didn't worked for years, why should it work now? Also if they want to play the women card, they need Priyanka, not Sonia.
But at the end, as long as Congress limit itself to the Ghandi's, they hardly will bring back confidence in the voter. They need policy and personality changes to get the youth, since they are Indias future.

Gandhis were the past of Indian politics they are not the future. I would rather vote for a young non-corruptable Congress leader then the Gandhis. Contrary to the popular belief Priyanka will be a bigger failure then her mother Sonia. She has the huge baggage of her husband's land scams even before she has entered politics. In other words she will be the Benejir Bhutto of Indian politics and her husband will be the Indian Mr. Ten percent Zardari.

This kinds of stuff has always been said, and it has always been proven false. Congress (including Gandhis) will always be relevant for India. You know why? Because it is irrelevant whether Rahul Gandhi is a genius or a moron. Key sets of core work will continue with very little disruption. They don't get into giant social engineering projects to convert into hindu nation etc. That works very ver very well with free market capitalism.

That is true and it's even important to have a credible opposition party for every democracy. The point however is, that people might be OK with Sonia and Rahul in the party, but not with them leading it as a potential PM candidate.
UPA 1 and 2 were pushed with MMS in front and it was him that the public wanted, not Rahul right? So why should that change now?
And is there another candidate the Congress can push instead of Rahul?

That's why they never led it. RG will never be PM. He'll be a Sonia like figure with real power in the hands of PM_ I think that will be Chidambaram/ Tharoor this time. Both are acceptable,

Tharoor might had been interesting in the past, because he knows how to use social media and is well spoken. But his scandals wrt his wife and all makes him a no go. Chidambaram would be a stronger candidate, knowledgeable and especially good if the GDP goes down, but he represent the old congress, that many people, especially the youth would not find appealing. One of the key criticism that I often hear, is that Congress has too many old people at the top and when your opponent isn't young either, it's logical that you have to exploit thathe weakness and gain trust of young voters.

I followed the start of AAP a few years ago, just out of interest why suddenly so many people wanted something else what the top 2 party's offered and why so many young people find them appealing.
Not that they have any chance on a national level (don't even know how it went in the last 2 years), but there is a voteshare that is not that interested in what BJP or Congress has to offer so far.

Even if all the men vote for other parties, women will vote for BJP. Prohibition has the highest support from women, it's pretty unanimous.

Lol!!! Prohibition has been the cow milked till end by all parties. Congress actually tried prohibition for several years and failed. No one's winning on prohibition, cow slaughter etc. anymore. It's jobs and money. Period.

Let me give you a fun fact after which you will never vote BJP. BJP cooked up a case against Shashi Tharoor thus (as mentioned in FIR)- Sunanda Pushkar was murdered because PLUTONIUM was found in her blood. She could not have taken sleeping pills because someone high up (obviously Tharoor) smuggled PLUTONIUM and stuck her a syringe filled with it. Man these jokers.....well the man has seen a bit of a revival after his oxford speech. Let's see how that goes.
