Good step. Will benefit both the countries. TATA will spread its presence over the globe and average Pakistani will be able to afford a car.

TATA is also trying hard to expand its market beyond India. It hasn't had the success that they were hoping for. Selling in Pakistan and in the sub continent gives them an advantage of selling the unmodified design unlike design changes and safety features required to get access into European and other advanced markets.

India should design more cars like Reva, electric cars are essencially what we need in the world, thanks to India and China people are starting to look at electric cars as a better option, nations like India and China need to be green to change the current trend of fossil fuels and pollution and impact benefitially the enviroment.

Many Companies know electric cars are the best way to motorize the large populations of India and China and force the traditional car makers to switch to green technologies.

Bajaj is also coming up with their car, which will be priced at about 1.30 lakhs. And it looks better than nano.

Good for both countries, 90% of buses in Afghanistan are TATA I hope Afghans import cars from India which most of them are really fuel sufficient and can meet the eligibility of most Afghans.

Given the mountainousness terrain in Afghanistan, Mahindra Scorpio and Tata SUVs fits the bill. Fuel efficient and comes cheaper than Toyotas.

If there's demand, we can export them via Iran. Iran can also be a big market for Indian cars, since most of their looks a bit outdated. It'll be a breath of fresh air for Iranian car enthusiasts. :yu:

Yes, we import cars from Canada, UAE, Japan etc.. but for importing cars from India via land we must deal with Pakistan first.

    Bad Move!

India should sever all economic ties with Pakistan.

We can't shake hands with someone whose hands are stained with the blood of our soldiers and common people.

I wish we had common borders with Afghanistan... so that we didn't have to deal with this rogue state.
