ARLINGTON, Va., 6 Feb. 2014. U.S. military researches will conduct industry briefings from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 18 Feb. 2014 on a program to find new approaches for deep search of the Internet that offer domain-specific indexing of web content and domain-specific search capabilities.

Officials of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) will brief industry on the Memex program at the Capital Conference Center, 3601 Wilson Blvd., in Arlington, Va. Those interested in attending the briefings should register online no later than 13 Feb. 2014 at http://www.sa-meetings.com/memex. There will be no on-site registration.

The Memex program envisions a new paradigm that will enable users of the World Wide Web to organize a subset of the Internet relevant to their interests, as well as to help counter human trafficking crimes such as slavery and the sex trade.
