    Unlikely, since it could be vetoed. And you would be surprised at UK influence.

    1. The Union shall constitute an area of freedom, security and justice with respect for fundamental rights and the different legal systems and traditions of the Member States.

    2. It shall ensure the absence of internal border controls for persons and shall frame a common policy on asylum, immigration and external border control, based on solidarity between Member States, which is fair towards third-country nationals. For the purpose of this Title, stateless persons shall be treated as third-country nationals.

    3. The Union shall endeavour to ensure a high level of security through measures to prevent and combat crime, racism and xenophobia, and through measures for coordination and cooperation between police and judicial authorities and other competent authorities, as well as through the mutual recognition of judgments in criminal matters and, if necessary, through the approximation of criminal laws.

    4. The Union shall facilitate access to justice, in particular through the principle of mutual recognition of judicial and extrajudicial decisions in civil matters.

    1.The Union shall develop a common policy on asylum, subsidiary protection and temporary protection with a view to offering appropriate status to any third-country national requiring international protection and ensuring compliance with the principle of non-refoulement. This policy must be in accordance with the Geneva Convention of 28 July 1951 and the Protocol of 31 January 1967 relating to the status of refugees, and other relevant treaties.

    2. For the purposes of paragraph 1, the European Parliament and the Council, acting in accordance with the ordinary legislative procedure, shall adopt measures for a common European asylum system comprising:

    (a) a uniform status of asylum for nationals of third countries, valid throughout the Union;

    (b) a uniform status of subsidiary protection for nationals of third countries who, without obtaining European asylum, are in need of international protection;

    (c) a common system of temporary protection for displaced persons in the event of a massive inflow;

    (d) common procedures for the granting and withdrawing of uniform asylum or subsidiary protection status;

    (e) criteria and mechanisms for determining which Member State is responsible for considering an application for asylum or subsidiary protection;

    (f) standards concerning the conditions for the reception of applicants for asylum or subsidiary protection;

    (g) partnership and cooperation with third countries for the purpose of managing inflows of people applying for asylum or subsidiary or temporary protection.

    3. In the event of one or more Member States being confronted with an emergency situation characterised by a sudden inflow of nationals of third countries, the Council, on a proposal from the Commission, may adopt provisional measures for the benefit of the ember State(s) concerned. It shall act after consulting the European Parliament.

    A he, but then, unless I scan by balls and post them, you have no way of knowing, and I'm fairly sure that doing so would result in a ban.

    You "had" influence in Europe, that's what made you so important for the Europeans and the US as a partner. But when the UK is sidelined with Europe, you can't lead, nor can change things towards US interests anymore. Germany and especially France with the new president, are seeking new leadership roles and that will certainly expand to NATO or the UN as well.

    One of the few issues about a UNC reform so far was, that Europe had 2 veto powers. Now with Brexit, guess who gets priority for Europe within the UN?

    The UN won't trust Germany for a long time yet and the EU is in shambles at the moment. They have lots of issues to sort out from social dumping, to common asylum policy, to handling refugees, to the next MFF agreement, to the Eurozone debt crises. They have their own messes to sort out before they are even fit to guide a small family of ducks across a road.

    Nobody does, because nobody was really in favour of two veto powers for the EU in the first place, think how unfairly China, Russia and the US would see that. Two vetoes for one state with a sub-US sized GDP. And only countries with intercontinental nukes have a veto.

    Also, subtract $2.65tr from first graph.;)

    Which is to say, European union wants to destroy European identity/ies. It is basically a large-scale social experiment aimed at promoting Cultural Marxism and related policies of multiculturalism, cultural (and biological) genocide etc.

    LOL at "combating racism and xenophobia". EU is both racist and xenophobic towards its own indigenous populaces.

    Above graphs in constant prices wrt GDP growth. I thought we were all told the EU economy was growing faster than the UK economy.

    Last 4 quarters
    EU - 1.8%
    UK - 2.0

    Last 12 quarters
    EU - 5.2%
    UK - 6.5%
