Yes, it is. There are some 8 of them currently in service of Navy. IN may buy more soon, maybe not.

Do a google search on "dhruv navy"

The Rudra helicopter gunship version of Dhruv can carry Anti-tank guided missiles,
unguided rockets of varying diameter & probably air-to-air missiles like the Mistral ATAM,
along with the usual 20mm machinegun cannon.

No jets.:troll: In all probability our own helo will be blown up first if it gets into a duel with jets.

Shooting down UAV/UCAVs and enemy helos is good enough.

No, the weight limit of the hardpoints on helicopters is way different to fighters, which is the main limiting factor, even between helicopters itself. Rudra for example can only carry a twin launcher with HELINA, or similar ATGMs (8 total), while LCH cann carry a quad launcher at the inner hardpoints and a twin launcher at the external once (12 total). Fighter weapons are often even way heavier, which is why not even normal IR missiles from LCA can be used, but light weight versions of the Mistral Manpad:

Kind of interesting that IN even show off commando operations with it, but was not happy enough to buy it in higher numbers at least for SAR operations and that although this naval version is simply a beauty!

Sancho - The Dhruvs with the tricycle landing gear are the best lookers. I'm glad that atleast
IAF and also BSF are buying Dhruvs with tricycle gear. Although the Navy blue paint scheme gives
the Dhruv a whole new level of eye-candyness.
