Meteor is equipped next year, which is when Kuwait gets Captor-E.

Just as the French forces, so no advantage for Rafale there and @Picdelamirand-oil knows that too.
But good for the Eurocanards and an important step for Europe to get more independent from US weapons.

Come 2021/22 Typhoon will have surpassed Rafale in every area of radar and EW, and already has in performance.

Imo in most areas, but it will be interesting to see how plans might change when the full Brexit effects will show.
A likely defence budget cut might effect UKs plans to improve electronic attack / EW capabilities, just like CFT development (unless a foreign customer funds it).
SEAD and deepstrikes then might be shifted to the F35s, for cost-effectiveness. Italy could follow treatment same path and Germany sadly hasn't pushed upgrades much.

When we start getting the full share of our VAT and import duties we'll have far more money than we do now.

I would be more concerned about tax revenues, when most of the banks, financial industry and possibly even most car makers leave to EU countries. But that's a different topic.

Is there any movement on the CFT development, since the windtunnel tests a few years ago, or are they concidering other ways?

Why would they? We give the EU £10bn/year fee + £2bn/year VAT + £50bn/year import duties + £2.5bn/year higher education subsidees, + £0.75bnb/year JS + £0.25bn/year child benefits. If the EU tries **** with us we'll get import duties on their £300bn worth of exports to us too. The EU has absolutely nothing on us.

In reality it already is, all it requires is avionics upgrade. Rafale can never match the raw performance of the Typhoon.

Who's gonna make us? You gonna come here personally and collect it? Did I mention the share of assets we'll be entitled to having paid £600bn into the EU? So the exit charge is 5x net annual contribution, does that mean Poland would get paid £60bn if they left? Get real. This charge has no basis in law.

The current MFF ends in 2020, and only that and the annual budget are agreed. Projects get cancelled all the time, we made no commitment to them. They are decided by the EU using the MFF as a framework.

We'll get tariffs on £300bn, you'll get nothing because the EU takes it all. We'll also get our full VAT and import duties on the £300bn worth of imports not from the EU, which the EU currently takes, in addition to the £10bn/year net we pay them, the £2.5bn/year we pay in higher education subsidies to EU citizens and the £1bn/year we pay in JSA and overseas child benefits to EU citizens. Then we'll deregulate SMEs not exporting to the EU.

The advantage is that the Meteor finished its integration on Rafale but did not finish it on Typhoon. And then we never claimed all around the earth that the Rafale would be the first to be equipped, while Typhoon's supporters have repeated it to us every day for years. This was the same for the E-Captor and now we see how many years of delay it has. In view of this history, I am not at all sure that the Typhoon will be equipped with the Meteor next year. With Eurofighter there is always a great difference between promises and achievements.

I've said 2018 for some time now. The Meteor is not operational on Rafale yet either.

In reality, even the Kuwaiti Typhoon next year will be better than the Rafale. AESA+Meteor.
