Give link where we promise such things at a wrong date. We just said it was detail to include these system and it was available to export if somebody wants it. It's a big difference.

Typhoon will get its first export AESA in 2019. Who knows what's next after that.

And 43 billion pounds for 72 Typhoons is extremely steep. That's $57B today. $800M per jet.

    WTF!!! @BMD

Lol please. We have discussed the HMS issue before, where you kept denying the facts too. So that's common behaviour, for supporters of any fighter.

For the HMS I always said that the French doesn't want such system until its weight is under 1.3 kg, but that it is available for export. Quatar wants it, the delivery will be with HMS, India want it, you will have it. I see no problems with the HMS. Only you are seeing problem with a system which is close to plug and play.

But for France it's still a big no.

Everything is available as long as you order it.

    IRST

Just because the French aren't interested doesn't mean it's not available.

Dassault is one of the few companies that maintains schedule.

Not really, since you need to develop them first. CFTs were just mock ups for flight tests, French HMS were only prototypes and the new IRST is not developed yet either.

Your conclusions are wrong. The French had IRSTs, they simply decided not to order them for later batches to save money. The CFTs were good enough for development tests and delivery within the 3 years it takes to deliver the jets. CFTs aren't the problem, flight testing is. HMS has been available since a long time, the French decided not to order it. Ever heard of Topsight?

Japan, UK advance missile development project

Japan and the United Kingdom have progressed their joint programme to undertake research and development (R&D) of a new air-to-air missile, Japan’s Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera has confirmed.

In comments reported by the Japan Ministry of Defense (MoD) on 24 November Onodera said the programme, which has been continuing for several years, will transition to a prototype stage in 2018 following which the two countries will step up the pace of development to include trials and evaluations of the new missile.

A decision on whether to build and deploy the missile could be made in the early 2020s, he said.

No the typical fan boy behaviour would have been to say it will be available in 2013 when in 2017 it is still non available. Instead I just said the true: there is no difficulties for this system to fit with the Rafale weapon system except that France doesn't want it for the moment due to technical deficiency for all such system in the field of weight.

Every fan boy states things HE believes are true. Doesn't matter if they are British, German, French, or Russian.

As said, we have discussed this before and I have showed you the official statements of the HMS order and of a French pilot, that stated that the HMS was killed for funding reasons. You just denid both and sticker to "your" truth.

But I gave you link to DGA evaluation and reason to do not deploy this system. It's very easy to find a pilot wanted "more", and such pilot will always believe that money is the problem.
