The news of joint venture between TATA and Lockhead to produce F 16 single engine aircrafts in India is a positive step primarily because the plant is being shifted into India. Although the aircraft is now not in use in US AF but is used world over. The major hurdle India has been facing is in production of engine. The technology will go a long way to boost Indian cpabilities.

Credentials are for the recipients to accept. India is still struggling to manufacture engine for aircrafts. The problem is in metallurgy as metals used are not able to withstand the high tempertures. Nothing to go beyond this. Any production of an aircraft engine will boost the capbilities of Indian engineers.

    1) No F-16 will ever be produced in India and the F-16 plant is not being sifted to India, at most India will get SKD kits for the F-16 but no critical tech, no meaningful production in India will occur- the Trump admin has already said no jobs will be lost in India from LM, how is that possible if the entire production line will shift to India? It just isn't possible, that's pure lies if you hear that.

    2) No F-16 deal for India will come with any engine production/development at all, nonetheless the French are working with India on that. No meaningful engine tech will come from the Americans- ever.

All thanks to faulty apex level decison making and the morons at ADA we are at a point where we have to consider a 40yr old design as an option because the home grown solution is not usable in its current form and the upgrade is a few years away all this at a time when IAF desparately needed L-MRCAs yesterday.

Where is the accountablity for this blunder !? All those responsible for this massive f**k up should be sued for wasting the taxpayers money for so many years.

Tejas mk1A is my last hope since it is led by HAL which actually has the experience for undertaking this project unlike ADA.

What Trump says, and what he does is two different things.
