Nop, the cost of restarting the project is enough to create multiple lines for Tejas production. Perhaps it was a good proposal 20 years back? who knows..

    Good Day!

Navy Chief has very clearly stated that the new aircraft will be for Vikky and IAC-1 only. This makes all other types irrelevant except for Mig-29K and LSA.

LSA is a paper plane. Far, very far from being on a deck.
    So.... only Mig 29 K

All those who laughed at LSA will very soon have black ink on their faces. IN has decided to pursue it.

3 way on paper - mig 29K, concept Indian stealth aircraft and F35

The mig29k may not cut the ice unless they sport a deep upgraded AESA and other upgrades or perhaps Mig35 in case its carrier certified.. but in all probability the deck landing requirements would be tweaked to keep Mig out of this and engine problems will be quoted to filter them out..

The other Paper plane sea gripen does nt stand a chance.. ruled out F18 already due to Stobar ops..

So possible choices remain the F35 and Indian Stealth Aircraft Concept.

Would be interesting if they do send the letter to Dassault or not.. bcz in case they does, inspite of stiff tweaking of rules, Rafale may still fit into the rule books albeit with a little generosity due to existing program connection...

It would be nice if the fighter chosen can use Safranised Kaveri as part of its MLU or may be from the go. That could eventually open our decks for a proper Make in India aircraft.

    No F35B. Rest all ok.

It would only severely , I really mean very severely handicap our IAC1. More worse than what is going to happen with QE Class.

We are not laughing. It's just a reality : this plane exists only on paper. So it will take at least in the better case 7/8 years to see it on a deck.

Our probable option and my hope is f35 as an intermediate to LSA full fledged.. Lets wait and see!!
