    Hi Everyone,

This is seance. I am strategic analyst and a staunch follower of topics related to defence.
Its nice to meet you all on a common platform from the same country.

Well, the reason I am here is that I have to discuss something with you guys though I know,
it might not be the right place for it.

    So here it goes :

Today about 2:13 pm I heard the sound of helicopters passing by. Helicopters being the area of
my interest i went on to check them.

And.....to my surprise I saw two "combat" helicopters passing by. By there chassis and shape,
they looked like "Apaches" / "LCH" in their appearance. Yeah u read correct APACHES !!!!!
I know till now India doesn't have one but their characteristic shape can't be mistaken.
As, LCH has similar chassis , I might have confused them with Apaches. But then again,
LCH hasn't entered service. Till date only two prototypes have been built, one of which had
digital camouflage, and the heli(s) that I saw were without any camouflage.

They really looked like apache. I don;t know how is it possible, but yeah they weren't anything
else. They can't be Dhruv, they cant be Mi-35 or Mi-17......and i m sure abt that.

    Moreover they were flying low...

And, Well let me inform you, all this happened over the skies of Meerut Cantonment.

I didn't know with whom to share this info. So I googled up and found this forum.

Your opinions and advices will be highly appreciated.

    Welcome.

Probably IAF testing out the Apaches and being trained to fly them by Boeing before induction.

Boeing wouldn't train any pilots in such a scenario, any training would come as a package when a contract was signed, and as far as I am aware this has not yet taken place. Possibly by end of year.

If it's an LCH, it means it's just going about it's usual flight trials. I am 99% certain that it could not have been an Apache.

Only reason for them to be here before signing of contract would be for trials - but all trials have been concluded long ago. No
need for Apaches to still be flying around.

It's neither Apache nor LCH. What you say is likely to be the Mi-24.

    Or even the Rudra.
