QUETTA: Gunmen attacked a coastguard check post in Balochistan on Saturday, killing seven officials and wounding seven others, officials said.

The incident happened in the Suntsar area of Gwadar district, 1,420 kilometres southwest of Quetta.

“Around 24 gunmen armed with rockets and heavy weapons, attacked the checkpost and killed seven coastguard officials,â€￾ provincial home secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani told AFP.

He said at least seven coastguard officials were also injured in the early morning attack.

A local tribal police official Muhammad Ali also confirmed the attack and casualties and said the identity of the attackers was not immediately known.

Baluchistan suffers from both militancy and a regional insurgency which began in 2004, with rebels demanding political autonomy and a greater share of profits from the region’s natural resources.

Many conveniently propose the myth that a stable Pakistan is in Indias interest and Indians have been spoon-fed for decades “that united Pakistan poses less threat than fragmented Pakistan". This is a false proposition. The truth is that Pakistan is bad news for the Indian Union since 1947-stable or otherwise.....With Chinas one arm, i.e. Pakistan disabled, its expansionist plans will receive a severe jolt and with disintegration of ISIs inimical activities of infiltration and pushing of fake currency into India, from Nepal and Bangladesh will cease.

Inida should seriously consider to support the Baloch Insurgency in Pakistan and make a proxy war successful there for once China is well established there and turms out to be in a commanding position in the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean, It will no doubt cost us quite heavily....

After PNS Mehran and PAF AFB Kamra attacks - which destroyed 2 Lockheed P-3C Orion and
1 Saab-2000 Erieye AEW&Caircraft respectively, the next target could be Gwadar port area.
Perhaps after PLAN bases some ships there.

I would like to see a PLA Navy ship sunk by Baloch militants. Will China be able to bear the
heat of the impeding target for terrorism that it is about to become? Wait and see.

And then people wonder why some of us prefer not to have foreign influence in Afghanistan.
Give it a while, 2-3 years max, a lot of this little game will be coming to an end.

GoP cannot provide equal opportunities to these people, they are being hammered continuously, They cant represent them in the cabinet. How do we expect them to retaliate. However the mode of retaliation is wrong, but knowing the tradition they are bound to respond with arms.

Is GoP has the resolve to address their concerns in matter of 2 or 3 years. I don't think so.
