It's PKSG. Anything he says can be verified only after it happens.

The Ka-226 is not being pursued with any real degree of urgency by the Indian side so it wouldn't surprise me if this were true and I'd hope it is. On the HTT-40, that doesn't make sense- the IAF alone has an outstanding requirement for >100 BTT that Parrikar ensured would go to the HTT-40 and cancelled the follow-on PC-7 deal so the IAF has no option but to get the HTT-40.

Mi-17 V5s actually make sense. We have a huge demand for platforms for Heliborne operations, especially for Northern Theatres. The performance of Mi-17 V5s is solid in these areas, especially it's load carrying capacity and sophistication for High Altitude/Rarified atmosphere operations.

Ka-226? Other than another mix into a salad, does not really make a sense for us.

 Man you can't get over it. He approved the additional 38 x PC7s and that order was never cancelled, the government just kept these approved orders lingering that's. So neither did he pushed HTT40, nor did he intended to give the follow on order to HAL, just as IAF didn't if the IJT would be available.
