How many were killed in Gujarat riots?

    No one don't no the real no. of people died but no doubt both Hindus and Muslims died in 2001 riot. i think 2000-5000 people killed in riot.
    Now it's time to forget this riot and think beyond the Hindu-Muslim.

    We have the figures given in parliament. They are final, unless shown inaccurate. After that info, individual opinions do not matter.

    Numbers killed in 1984, as per parliament records, is 3100. That in Bhagalpur riots 1400, Congress was in power. Gujarat riots of 1989 saw 1900 killed. Mumbai riots of 93 had 2200 killed.

    Talk of worst riots.

    Bhagalpur riots happened in 1987. 32 percsons were charged, and 14 convicted in 2007, is SHORT period of ONLY 18 years. Talk of a fast track justice. But 10 were acquitted after 18 years.

    Blame the governments and not the courts. We have just 13 judges on a million population which is perhaps one of the lowest in the world.

    well said....blame on government. Govt. give little amount to our judiciary, By which it impossible to handle millions of cases.
    but supreme court of india ask to government to provide more money so that they able to handle the millions of cases.
