    Dear blog members,

This is a serious issue. Whenever i watch news, i feel very hurt to see that our jawans not only had to face terrorists but also stone pelters as well. So, i am very curious that how we can face, stop, demoralise them in order to create successful operations against terrorists.

Full body armor is full proof option to end stone menace. The callous attitude of government is problem. Soldiers are getting their teeth broken for no reason.

Terrorism is major problem like in Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor's rule has given law enforcement and security force to make thier motto defend, destroy and cleansed terrorist groups from organised crimes, money laundering ,financing.terror camps and criminal activities and bring normalcy, law and order and prosperity to the state.

    1. Find who finances them and break their back (either Iqwan style or by arresting them and moving them to prisons in TN/Kerala).
    2. Identify and get the leaders and the top 20% (who are seen repeatedly).
    3. penetrate whatsApp groups that encourage these activities and figure out who are the biggest participants (top 20%) and arrest them. You might want to subvert one or two people in each group and get regular copies (whatsApp allows conversations to be mailed out).
    4. Once you know the top 20%, then the alternatives are - elimination of the most violent leaders, arresting some, educating the rest and offering them better alternatives.
    5. It has to be a combination of fear, inducement and bribes. You just need to get the top 20% (80-20 rule).
    6. Sow the movement with our own people who will subvert the movement gradually,

Well said, Officer, though too late but the Government has taken serious note of the problem. It is evident that the terrorists had been successful in exercising undue influence on the local residents in particular the youth through hate speeches and their venomous literature on 'Jihad' and anti India literature. We must be careful in differentiating such elements as victims and terrorists which the Army does. Once the root pockets of youth mobilization for such nefarious activities in support or protection of terrorists are identified which is mostly military intelligence job, the hard hit actions by Army must get in action. Free hand to army especially by organizations in the guise of Human Rights activists must be tackled by the Police by booking them bluntly as per Cr Pc. In short, the Army knows what it is meant for and what to do but the peripheral agencies must clear the path which is the major responsibility of the State Govt has to be taken up.

    Update:
Actually, the best opportunity is now - during the Governor's rule.
    a. Cut down as many terrorists as possible and as quickly as possible before the next elections.
    b. Cut down (encounter if possible) the key OGWs.
    c. Shoot down a few protesters during each encounter.
    d. Mingle with the mourners of each burial party and identify the key protestors - those with weapons, snatch them and either encounter them or move them to jails in the North East.
    e. rinse, repeat - How the Punjab violence was contained was by killing most of the Khalistani separatists. Same with North East... Similar needs to be done here - just do it quickly and then apply healing balm.

More importantly, I think the war needs to be taken to the establishment in Pakistan.
We need multiple attacks on the Pakistani army / deep state by their own militants. This is actually the best time - while Pakistan is running out of money and has been greylisted by the FATF.

best way to breakdown the morale is:
    • when they see their young jailed in far lands (like NE, TN, KA, OR). Ensure they are jailed with others who are staunch Hindus and Christians.
    • the most radical ones killed - they are the ones who sustain the morale.
    • Use the Moulvis - have "chats" with them and jail the most radical ones
Some amount of fear will be needed before the healing balm can be applied.

Thinking about it, one key element is the Moulvis. They need to be de-radicalized first. They need to change. Once they change and preach change, then the population will change...

Is it possible to get Moderate Maulvis from mainland to take control of some of the key Madarassas there.

I know I sound EXTREMELY violent here - in terms of my saying that some of the critical elements need to be killed but if one were to look at the history of violence in India, violence has been stopped only by violence. Examples:
    * NE: after the critical leaders were killed, the level of violence went down and the rest were willing to come and talk.
    * Khalistan: KPS Gill killed some of the most violent khalistanis and the state violence wound down. Today Khalistan is a state in California...
    * Gujarat communal violence. I remember in '85 when communal riots were at their peak. Riberio came in - he walked in and shot the top five instigators (Muslims and Hindus) and the violence died in days.
    * LTTE: The LTTE had to be killed almost to a man before SL came to normalcy.

So many others... Sadly, the same solution has to be applied in Kashmir too...
