Point! But weak teams should also get a fair chance too. Good for competitive cricket. ;)

If Bangladeshi think that cricket world cup is meaningless game why don't you try something else. If it is Indians fan base and economy is the reason why we win the matches then Bangladesh would have never scored a win against England. And to remind these idiots Rohit was at 90 at that time and India had already scored more then 200 at that time. He only scored 47 runs more and Bangladesh lost by 109 runs.

I'm a working professional. So, as usual, was working. But, I did had a glimpse at BD's dismal batting performance. :troll:

    Remember my words???

"It's better to stick to reality. BD team is not strong enough to reach the finals. Just pray that your team doesn't meet India in the quarter finals."

See! overconfidence always kills. And that's true in your case.:achmed:

India won because of umpires: Bangladesh PM

DHAKA: Wading into the controversy over umpiring decisions in Bangladesh's World Cup quarterfinal loss to India, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said everyone has seen how the Mashrafe Mortaza-led side was "made to lose".

During a function organised by Bangladeshi expatriates in Melbourne for the national team, Prime Minister Hasina called Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan and greeted the players on the phone.

When Hassan connected a loudspeaker to the phone, Hasina said, "We would have won if the umpires did not give wrong decisions. Inshaallah, Bangladesh will win in the future. Bangladesh will become world champions someday."

She praised the cricketers for their performance in the tournament and hoped they would be able to carry forward the momentum they had in the World Cup.

Hasina told captain Mortaza and his boys not to be upset.

"There's nothing to be upset. Everyone has seen how we were made to lose. We will win in the future," she was quoted as saying by BD News.

His comments came as protests erupted in Bangladesh after the cricketing minnows suffered a 109-run defeat by holders India, due in large part to a blistering knock by Rohit Sharma who top-scored with 137.

Bangladesh were handed a 109-run thrashing by India in the quarterfinal match at the MCG. The only dramatic moment in what was otherwise a clinical Indian performance was when centurion Rohit Sharma got a close no-ball reprieve.

Rohit was on an individual score of 90 and team total on 196 in the 40th over bowled by Rubel Hossain when a marginal 'no-ball' call went in favour of the Indian opener. Rohit went onto add another 47 runs in quick time to help India go past 300-run mark.

Ian Gould was the umpire who adjudged Rubel's full-toss as waist high 'no-ball' with Rohit being holed out at deep mid-wicket boundary. However, TV replays showed that it was a real touch-and-go situation which could have gone either way.

BCB has said it will protest the umpiring in its report to the ICC.

Protests erupted in Bangladesh after the loss with fans voicing their displeasure with the umpiring. Bangladesh captain Mortaza had also expressed his displeasure at a few decisions going against his side.

International Cricket Council (ICC) president Mustafa Kamal, a Bangladeshi, also joined the protest saying, "If needed, I will resign from the ICC. Speaking as fan, it appears to me that it (ICC) has become Indian Cricket Council. There needs to be an investigation. A result was forced on us today."

Rejecting its own President's criticism of the umpiring during Bangladesh's World Cup quarterfinal loss to India, the ICC on Friday said Kamal's outburst against the match officials was "unfortunate" and "baseless".

Right? Hell, anyone who can see knows that Rohit Sharma call in the 40th over was bullshit, but BD somehow lost because of that? Hah. Anyone who believes that has been paying too much attention to that "turning point" rubbish in the match talk show series.

India had already crossed 200 runs when Sharma was given s lifeline. Bangladesh didn't even make it to that mark. Yeah, Sharma's lifeline DEFINITELY cost them the match :blah:

It's all over. India 233 all out. Australia are through to the Final where they will meet New Zealand.

Terribly disappointed by Kohli's performance. Anyway, great match.

After the March 29 final is complete, it's the next IPL season where we will see some smashing T20 cricket.

Going down without a fight was disappointing but proud of Indian fast bowlers & Ashwin they played world class cricket throughout the tournament
Dhawan & Rohit sharma also did well

Issue was middle order batting , while chasing they are very brittle

JAdega's position in the team was not justified . although i like the indian team for thier performance .but there were some things which i hoped dhoni would have done . Like giving axar patel and S binny a chance in the league games when india was thru to the Q/F .
also i think bhuvi would have been a better choice for the semis instead of mohit . bhuvi could have opened the bowling . he can take wickets at the start . india lost this match cuz of the partnership of Smith and Finch . also Australia studied how india was playing and followed it . like pacing the innings . Finch was hell bent on sticking around and play till the end . in all of india's matches we had atleast 1 batsman who would stick around . but india dint do that in the semis. we needed a partnership .we could have stopped the wickets falling for a little while that would have put australia in pressure . anyways what is done is done . this team needs rest now after playing so long . so lets move on
