Quite frankly I wouldn't put to much faith in an article, which claims that INS Vikrant is conducting a series of rigorous sea trials at present.
If the author doesn't even know that Vikrant hasn't even completed it's build yet, then perhaps you should take his offerings with a pinch of salt. :argh:

vikrant has completed its build - upto the sea trials levels - outfitting is pending

as i understand sea trials entails the superstructure trials and tests not systems

    also

IAC II design work has started - which is more important

    with 60-70k tonnes

No the Vikrant has not completed it's build, in fact the Modi government has just allocated another 20,000 crore to finish the job. Sea trials mean just that, trials at sea. Just as the QE has completed structural build but is now alongside fitting out, and this takes some time. Her sea trials don't start until 2017.

Fitting out is completely different to sea trials. IACII is important but Vikrant is just as important at the moment. You need both carriers worked up and operating, IACII is years away yet, you need something now.

Vikrant island structure is yet to be built and 4000 tonne work is left on rest of body. But it should be finished by year end. Trials next year and induction in december.

Vikrant Island structure was ready the day it was floated out but was not fitted to it. The ship is being built using modular concept. 100% metal components are ready for fitment.

Why can't we just filter uranium from the ocean like the Japanese do.
MMS and Congress led us to the bottom.
