Jus wondering the Pakistan High Commissioner's comment on lambasting media hype, is he properly informed or is he completely detached of reality. Evidences and proofs are screaming for action, GoI's soft power is killing any initiative.

Keran operations over, terrorists did not occupy Indian posts: Army

Keran: The Indian Army on Tuesday called off the 15-day long Keran operation, saying the area has been cleared of the infiltrators backed by Pakistan. Northern Command chief Lt General Sanjeev Chachra said the infiltration bids are not possible without the help of the Pakistan Army and maintained that his forces are on high alert and will continue to ensure that the sanctity of the LoC is maintained.

He also said that no Indian posts were occupied by infiltrators. While the search operation has been called off, Lt General Chachra said the anti-infiltration operations will continue.

He also said that the Army had intelligence inputs about these infiltration bids and that the bids are going to continue as winter is approaching. "The counter infiltrartion bid is in place across the LOC. There will be infiltrations bids. We have intelligence inputs on them and we are well prepared," Lt General Chachra said.

While he did not give the number of terrorists who tried to enter into the Indian territory, Lt General Chachra said that while some infiltrators in the Keran sector have been eliminated, other bids have been foiled. The Army said eight bodies have been recovered. "The last contact was established four to five days ago. Eight bodies have been recovered," Lt General Chachra said.

The Army had been battling an estimated 30 to 40 terrorists in the Shala Batu village in the Keran sector for the past 15 days. The Army had earlier released aerial pictures of the terrorists killed at the Line of Control during the operation. It also made a massive recovery of arms and ammunition from the infiltrators.

Keran: Indian Army recovers arms with 'Made in Pakistan' tag

The Indian Army is said to be conducting final operations in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, where 30 to 40 militants and Pakistan special forces' troops had infiltrated.

The operations in Shalbhatti village had begun on September 24 and is still on even after a fortnight. It is reported that seven militants have been killed and a huge cache of arms and war-like stores has been recovered by the Indian Army troops. The anti-infiltration operation has entered its 15th day on Tuesday and like earlier, the government once again denied that the situation was like Kargil War of 1999.

"We conducted search operations in the sector and recovered war-like stores of arms and ammunitions," Officiating Brigadier General Staff (BGS) Col Sanjay Mitra told reporters in Srinagar on Monday. Among the ammo recovered include AK-47 rifles, pistols, one sniper rifle, 20 UBGL grenades, radio-sets and other war-like stores. Some medicines and food items were also found. Many of the weapons and ammunition recovered carry the 'Made in Pakistan' tag.

The Centre meanwhile said maintaining sanctity of the Line of Control (LoC) was of "primary importance". "We have repeatedly emphasised that the maintenance of sanctity of Line of Control is of primary importance.

Even at the last meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, this issue was re- emphasised. As regard to the current situation, our armed forces who are responsible of sanctity undertaking currently appropriate necessary measures.

Based on the outcome of those efforts, we will take the further necessary action, as appropriate," a spokesperson in the External Affairs Ministry said The Directors General of Military Operations of India and Pakistan will be talking today, as part of their routing contacts.

Seems like none of the proofs are enough for them to accept their evil designs anyways... Hope they know India is prepared.

Thanks for the paid news :hitwall:

The Mumbai arm of an Indo-Pak lobby group has questioned the accession of Jammu & Kashmir to India by calling it a "disputed region". It has called for the removal of the army from the state and described Pakistan as a "victim of terrorism".

On Gandhi Jayanti, the Mumbai wing of the Pakistan India Peoples' Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) issued the statement at its 20th anniversary meet held in New Delhi. It described itself as an organization that brings cultural exchange "between India, Pakistan and the disputed region of Jammu & Kashmir".

An earlier PIPFPD release said India should not have raised the issue of Pakistani terrorism with US President Barack Obama along the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting in New York. Pakistan's PM Nawaz Sharif had voiced a similar complaint in his infamous "dehati aurat" comment. However, PIPFPD remained silent on the fact that it was Sharif who first mentioned the 'K' word in his formal address to the UNGA before Singh met Obama.

Mumbai-based activists Jatin Desai and Pushpa Bhave are members of PIPFPD. Desai told TOI, "Kashmir is the core issue. We believe it is a trilateral matter to be resolved by India, Pakistan and the Kashmiris themselves. The zone must be demilitarized and AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) revoked." He does not believe Nawaz Sharif uttered the "dehati aurat" remark.

PIPFPD says it is "only soldiers' sacrifices for the nation that are taken into consideration, the others are taken as nothing but collateral damage". Desai denied the group was echoing Pakistan's line of argument. "Ours is an independent group that seeks no help from outsiders. We blame Saudi Arabia and UAE for exporting extremism." PIPFPD is known for seeking freedom for Indian and Pakistani prisoners held in each other's jails.

Pakistani troops violate LoC ceasefire again, target Indian posts in Poonch

Poonch: Pakistani troops today resorted to firing and shelling on Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch district, the latest in a series of violations of the ceasefire in the region.

Pakistani troops opened small arms firing and shelling of mortar bombs on Indian posts along LoC in Dera Basi-Balakote-Mendhar forward areas in Poonch from 1400 hours today, police officials said.

The firing was on when the last reports came in as Indian troops guarding the border line took positions and retaliated effectively resulting in exchanges, they said.

There was no loss of life or injury in the firing, according to police.

There have been 127 ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir this year, which is highest in past eight years.

Once Modi ji will become PM of India then there will be no more ceasefire violations. If they are firing bullets then we should fire them on rockets and mortars.Kill them in such a manner so that their upcoming generations will fear to touch gun for violating cease fire.We should develope a short range brahmos which is more deadly and also can use nuclear warhead.

Pak violates ceasefire again, several Indian Army posts targeted

The Pakistani army violated the ceasefire yet again today, targeting several Indian Army posts in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to reports, heavy firing was reported from the Hamirpur, Mendhar and Barasingha sectors of Poonch in Jammu.

Small arms, rockets and mortars are reportedly being fired from Pakistan. The Indian Army is retaliating in equal measure, said officials.

This comes days after the army's encounter at the Keran sector 100 km from Srinagar, the largest in years, comprising a series of gunbattles in which soldiers fought about 30 heavily-armed Pakistanis who crossed over the Line of Control for 14 days.

India has accused the Pakistani army of links to the group. Five Indian soldiers were injured.

Terrorists planning another Samba-style attack, warns intelligence agencies

Two suicide squads responding to wireless call sign "88" and "Hotel 4" are learnt to have sneaked into Jammu and Kashmir to carry out another Samba-style terror attack, warns a secret intelligence note accessed by Headlines Today.

Intelligence agencies have cautioned the J&K Police and also issued an alert to military installations in Srinagar, Udhampur, Jammu, Samba and Pathankot.

While agencies were able to intercept the conversation till about 72 hours ago, the total absence of “chatter†has been a cause of serious concern.

The past three major incidents – Samba infiltration and attack and Keran and Mendher infiltration attempts -- were marked by total wireless silence.

And this makes the task of intelligence agencies more difficult.

"In the past, wireless chatter would give us a fair idea of what was being planned and executed. But with Pakistan Army regulars playing a more direct role in training and handling terrorists – instead of the retired fraternity – there is more discipline in the activities of terrorists. We are dealing with a new bunch of battle-hardened and better-trained terrorists," said an intelligence source.

    Pakistan’s strategy is two-fold.

Its army is pushing in its Border Action Team (BAT) to carry out killings on the LoC and return while hoping to push in infiltrators with heavy firing and shelling in Poonch-Mendher sectors south of Pir Panjal and in Keran sectors in north Kashmir.

"One jawan was killed in fresh incidents of firing along the LoC in the Keran sector late yesterday (Thursday). The army retaliated, inflicting casualties on the other side too," the source said.

"We have learnt that during a recent meeting of some of the Tanzeem commanders in Lahore, an ISI brigadier codenamed Mustafa told them to carry out high-profile targeted attacks before the onset of winters. That is why there appears to be a sudden desperation to push in infiltrators despite a multi-tiered cordon being in place," the source said.

In fact, terrorists are being forced to either find gaps in the higher reaches of Shamshabari ranges in inhospitable altitudes of almost 13,000 feet to infiltrate or try to push through firing in the Poonch-Mendher sectors.

"This goes on to show the desperation of the terrorists and their handlers across the LoC. The intercepts indicate the terrorists are being tasked to hit schools, hospitals, temples and market places around Dussehra and Diwali. The terrorists are also being told to target the minorities in Doda, Kishtwar and revive terror in Poonch and Rajouri districts that have by and large been peaceful," the source said.

Headlines Today has accessed a list of 10 terrorist training camps with the number of terrorists undergoing training in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

    1. Jangal Mangal/Attar Sisa: 150-175 Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorists

    2. Abdullah Bin Maqsood, Kotli, PoK: 75-100 LeT/HM terrorists

    3. Barali: 175-200 terrorists

    4. Fagosh 75: 100 LeT, HM terrorists

    5. Nikial: 80-90 LeT, HM and Al Badr terrorists

    6. Gulpur: 75-100 LeT and HuJI terrorists

    7. Muzaffarabad: 15-175 LeT and HM terrorists

    8. Bimber: 50-75 LeT terrorists

    9. Manshera: 130-140 LeT terrorists

    10. Hot Spring: 25-30 JEM terrorists

According to sources, local villagers close to the LoC are being forced to house terrorists just before they are launched across and this has led to considerable tension between the local villagers and the terrorist handlers.

"The available intelligence seems to indicate Pakistan will try and push across as many terrorists as it can before the onset of winters for a summer of unrest in 2014," the source said.
