Left one prototype is developed by Kalyani Group and the right one is developed by TATA Power SED. Apart from some cosmetic differences, the main addition in the Kalyani Group's prototype is an autoloader from ELBIT first seen on their Bharath 52 howitzer showcased during last year's DefExpo. Take a look at circled part in pic.

one of the rare "well refined" products from India's stables. Usually the end product looked like it was hacked together in place with a bunch of duct tape.
Look at the tires on that thing, the finishing. Makes me proud.

It can be exported to friendly countries too so money can be made on top of what will be saved.

India must become a massive defence producer/exporter in next 5 - 10 years.

People forget the 80-20 principle. It's probably more important to make domestic rifle, artillery, trainer planes etc. since they'll be evergreen requirements.

Very good catch, possibly turrets are being tested for new tank design.
Or it could be adapted (probability wise)
T-72, Arjun, Vijayanta or Tank Ex.

It seems they are playing around with new turret designs. This is at the firing range of ATAGS.

So, Arjun turret has been modified. The upper one is for T-72. @Ripcord322

Yeah ... it crossed my mind too that it was Tank Ex. But scuttlebutt had it that they were incorporating Merkava design style to it now - a truly remix tank in remix time
