Mainstream Media - troll.in, New Indian Express etc

You don't need to indicate stuff here. You can speak your mind.

As you yourself admit, there is mismanagement and corruption in the disbursement of food rations. Which is exactly what the videos were about. Just because we know a certain crime is being perpetrared we!shouldn't talk about it? What logic is there in that?

Besides my original point still stands - we should stop dreaming up unnecessary luxuries like giant LPD's while not even getting the basics (personal firearms, armor, optic sights, gloves, even a moderately sexy camo) right.

Well couple of things need to be taken into consideration

    1) This is a training school. So most likely all the equipment such as rifles, LMG, helmets, tactical vest etc are already present and maintained in the school. This free the visiting forces from bringing their own. We can see this with the mongolian army using IA equipment including what i have mentioned earlier. Yes the equipment might be old, we can see this from the furniture on the INSAS. Still they sound awesome :p

    2) Before any training starts, the format/scope is planned out, The course work is made, possible this includes class room studies and then what equipment that is needed and Finally the assessment for each soldier! ... ALL this must be agreed upon by both sides before the training is to be started

    3) Lets assume that the training will cover the basic, from the video we see - Squad /platoon tactics, COIN techniques, CQBs land navigation, marksman training. Possible all the techniques/ equipment is basic (basic as for eg the rifles with no scope, ) is done deliberately, to have the operator to rely more on their skill and training and less on advance equipment (reason being that if this advance equipment failed, as least the operator can get itself out of a pickle)

    4) Another possible reason - there is no commonality of equipment used by the Mongolian army, since they are not allowed to bring their equipment with them (cost) using any other equipment could be counter productive.

    5) On the other hand , advance equipment/techniques might have been used, just don't want this to be shown in the public. What is shown is for public consumption. Is this the first time Joint training between the armies? does anyone know , which regiment the IA sent in for this?

    7) Apart from the Equipment Used. The Training Areas are pretty Awesome!

Sorry bro but I'm getting sick of this kind of spin, what equipment do we know the IA has that wasn't shown here? The reason they look so shoddily equipped is because the IA IS shoddily equipped across the board. It's not like we have seen any particuarly modern equipment in use with the IA in other settings, what was seen here is the standard equipment you see being used in most situations/displays of the IA so it is fair to assume this is all the IA has to hand.

Sure, I accept that a training school like this might not have the very latest stuff an operational unit has but it won't be far off. And at the same time, training schools should have comparable equipment to frontline units as the IA's ethos is "train as you fight".

+ bro can we please stop deluding ourselves with this notion that the Indian military is secretly keeping all of their best equipment hidden and only showing their junk to the public to keep their real capabilities hidden, this is living in a fool's paradise.

Let's just call a spade a spade and stop making excuses for continued failure.

Take your point BUT apart from the Rifle ...What is this shoddily equipment you are talking about???

I did ask from where the IA soldiers are from, from the video - im guessing they are from an Infantry Batl... thus they will most likely train with same weapons, BUT that too will be depend on the training module

Having said that, the training facilities are pretty good no?

    Another example of Joint Training
Note : the difference forces used here , from conventional to special forces - hence different weapon

Im not trying to save face for the equipment present , there is rapid need for better equipment BUT to say what we have is shoddy just because they look that well is kinda false

Yep, looks like it (wheel position, windows, it all fits...never mind the fenders, they are a simple bolt-on). Great catch!

The more I look at the render I do think this looks like that vehicle, very interesting- now we have seen both the TATA and Mahindra LSVs out in the "wild":

Sadly the IA will take the next 50+ years to decide they want this vehicle :/
