    अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कांग्रेस के अवतार भड़ाना से मानहानि मामले में माफ़ी माँग ली है. केजरीवाल ने कहा कि उन्होंने बहकावे में आरोप लगाए थे. :lol::rofl::troll:

AIADMK merger seems just about done. Bit by bit, my "future political map" is slowly becoming a reality :respect:

JDU Ghar Wapsi + AIADMK merger in quick succession, Amit Shah is on an absolute bloody roll, what a genius.

Also, if BJP manages to follow this up with a victory in Karnataka Elections, they would be part of the Government/Ruling in 3 of 5 South Indian states, and well positioned to grow as opposition in a 4th one (Telangana). Then only Kerala would be left as a "final frontier" like West Bengal in the East.

After this you can't write BJP off as just a North Indian party, they are officially a pan-Indian powerhouse now; and there is hardly even any viable opposition on a national level. Congress is being put to the sword, AAP has been pinned down in Delhi where it might find it hard to even retain power, and one by one even the regional satraps are falling.

The fall of Maya, Mulayam, Lalu and Mamta is good for India and for their respective states but we still need a credible opposition in India not necessarily a united opposition (mahatagbhandhan). Absolute powers only corrupts those who are in control and even if Modi is uncorruptible I am not so confident about his other compatriots, hoards of people/parties are joining hands with the BJP and they are bound to bring some bad eggs with them.

Hopefully Modi rules India for the next fifteen years and delivers his promises of a new India, keeping intact the spirit of India and its diversity.

One downside of this is that ,sooner or later, someone would do a big corruption scandle from NDA;especially since BJP has now became a dharamshala.

I have read on Republic twitter feed that even Jagan Reddy want to merge YSR congress into BJP.

that will certainly end the "cleaner than congress" image of the BJP. Jagan Reddy/YSR are percieved as some of the most corrupt politicians.

however, I do not believe YSR congress will merge with BJP or that BJP will encourage that. because:

1)the Telugu Desam Party - headed by Chandra babu naidu is a staunch opponent of the YSR congress (recently Jagan reddy made a statement saying Naidu should be killed on the road - thats the level of animosity between them.)
    2) the TDP has been an NDA ally since the time of Atal vajpayee
    3) the BJP has always been very supportive of CBN (he was made head of the transition committee on demonetization: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...-to-cashless-economy/articleshow/55708215.cms)

How reliable is this poll? And does anyone know anything about the new corruption charges against Yeddyurappa? Is there anything to them? Or is it just desperation from the Karnataka Congress?

Karnataka pre-poll survey gives Congress 120-132 seats, BJP 60-70
    TNN | Aug 22, 2017, 02:38 AM IST
    HIGHLIGHTS
    • The present strength of Congress in the assembly is 122.
    • BJP, which now has 44 members, will get 60 to 72 seats, the survey says.
    • It predicted the ruling party will bag 120-132 of the 224 seats.

BENGALURU: As the state prepares for assembly elections next year, a pre-poll survey conducted by C fore on the prospects of the three big parties in Karnataka gave Congress the edge, predicting the ruling party will bag 120-132 of the 224 seats. The present strength of Congress in the assembly is 122.

The survey, conducted between July 19 and August 10, says BJP, which now has 44 members, will get 60 to 72 seats. JD(S), which currently has 32 seats, is likely to secure 24 to 30 seats, while Independents are likely to win one-to-six seats, it adds.

An "unhappy" BJP spokesperson S Suresh Kumar commented that the release of this "paid" survey, its timing and reasons, is very suspicious. "According to our information, the survey was released by the media wing of the CM's office."

CM Siddaramaiah said, "BJP, afraid of getting dismal numbers, is talking of Congress having sponsored the survey. It encapsulates all our populist schemes and results. We don't have any link with the survey, it was conducted by a private agency."

Could be correct. Congress has been hyping language issue, trying to get Lingayats declared seperate religion, and bribing poors with Indira canteen. As Kejariwal proved, these things pay.

Yea, the canteens of course because which Indian doesn't love freebies? But more importantly, I have been a bit uneasy over the 3 main maneuvers by Siddaramaiah since it looked like BJP could win his state: 1. Flag Issue 2. Kannada vs Hindi 3. Lingayat issue (which is almost a checkmate considering the fact that BSY himself is a Lingayat).

It would be a real damn nuisance if Congress manages to salvage Karnataka.

Absolute power only corrupts ,people with families, ones like Modi, with no family, how much corrupt can they get, they got no lineage left. You are talking about opposition, when we are facing a spectre of Pakistan and China.
We dont need Opposition in such atmosphere,we need a person who can get things done and with a bit of a dictatorial streak to stop these enemies at bay. There will be bound to be some corruption as many Congress are joining lately. But as long as the top tier is in control, everything will fall into place.
I see it differently, there wont be any diversity left, but rather one people, one nation. Why would need diversity?when the same diversity led to you being invaded for 1000 years, Just say never again, will it happen.

Modi might not be corruptible but you cannot say the same about his colleagues and their are plenty of them who right now are doing what we call as - Bheti ganga me haath dhona.
A doctorial govt should never be a possibility in India, what will happen after the war ends, will he vacate the seat voluntarily??
Instead we need a strong yet sensible opposition which will stand together with the govt in case of an national emergency.

I already said some corruption might happen, if Modi again gets absolute Majority in second term, it wont happen as he will call all the shots, if he manages to stitch up a coalition, then he will face the same coalition politics as Vajpayee did, corruption will happen then.

Dont be so sure Dictatorship is never possible in India.People are fed up with corruption and need a strongman, who doesnt need to wait eons for courts to strike off cases to build roadways, because some person didnt like it,or those pesky NGO's who get stay orders to further foreign agenda.
If a person like Modi is at helm,he will vacate it after war ends.
This strong and sensible opposition is the reason we are lagging behind China in Development,Industry and Armaments. This opposition will always question and put spanner in works for any new development, citing Tribal rights,Human rights and what not, while China keeps surrounding you with bases all around. This idea we need a Opposition is being fed sub-consciously by leftists, foreign nations to keep India under their thumb and make sure of their survival and not get booted out of country. Why should Democracy follow a Western model? Why can't we have our own model.
We already seen What CPI did in 1962, supported PLA and set up Blood donation camps, this sort of nonsense wouldn't have happened if they were rounded up and put in quarantine or better eliminated. What makes you think it won't happen again, now there are many fault lines than before, Afro-Da-lit project, NGO's,Missionaries,Jihadis,Maoists etc.

    We dont need oppositon
