Would be the best news coming out of Pakistan for years.

The Pakistanis having some noisy SSNs would be the best present the IN ever got :D

Such developments would surely kick some sense into the MoD/GoI and force them to up their game in defence and especially give the IN what it wants.

No no bro, India can't be and shouldn't be depending on others to protect its interests. It has ample means to look out for itself, what is lacking is the same old $hit we rue (procurement reforms, political will, strategic awareness etc etc).

And Chinese have 12 trillion$ base to offer .What about us ?
Chinese wont give them that ,at least for now .But after our NSG aim ,not sure about it .
But fact is now Chinese would think twice before takes that provocative route .
Because we also SSBN tech and few missile's tech .And they have Vietnam one their next side .

But problem is India is not some small nation like Japan or Pakistan .
Allowing US ships nearer to our coast means we chose the US side and If US get this support they will become very powerful .

    ankitkumar is right there .
India current strength is our main issue with Russia .Russians knows economic status is already on our favour and at current pace within one decade,we will have our own military industrial complex .That us why they looks for new field like oil .Look at their investment in Essar .US is already investing in India for their interest .Russians also doing the same

They aren't going to buy Russian Arms in large quantities helping the Russian arms industry .

They can at best only substitute partly for exports from Russia , which has taken hit after sanctions. And that primarily involves Oil.

Japan is no "Small Nation" bro, look at it this way.....

Yes...They are small area wise....and population wise than us.....but still they have

    • A Much better Navy
    • A MUCH bigger economy
    • Their Technology in general is light years ahead of what we have now....(TV's, Cars,Weapons,Ships....)
    • Many Many Many More Global Companies in Forbes Global 500/2000 (60~65 v/s 7 AFAIK)
    • Much more advanced Space Launch Vehicles
    • Much Much Better Standards of living than us
    • Much better Automobile Industry...(They Dominate Our Marker Itself....Right in Our Home (Maruti Suzuki))........
    • They have Much Better Transportation...(Maglev Trains...Bullet Trains...)
    • Less Corruption...Better transparency...Less Crime....etc...

All this...Despite....Them being as you say a "Small" Nation....

Just because they are small in area and population...it doesn't mean we can (or should) call them a "Small Nation"

We should learn from Them....After being DEVASTATED in WW2...Look at where they are now....Heck I guess Even the Chinese in some part of their heart respect them....

    PS :
It's just their defeat in WW2 that still hurts them...They were perhaps forced onto a pacifist constitution.....
And China....A country Even bigger than Japan...It's Enemy Sits right Next Door to them....
They Live in Tough Times these Days.....

    #Respect for the Japanese.....

It is hard to take a poster serious when they posts stuff like this.

Japan is few generations ahead of India in almost everything. We have larger landmass comparing to Japan and largest population. That is it.

    Comprehension problem?
Of Course ,Japan is developed .Very developed than China .But does it change anything?

A nation having sheer size ,population and ever growing prospects will always outclass a saturated developed nation.
At the ground China has lots of resources men and size to offer.
That is where the India has some advantage
Did I forced you yo do that?

Thats it .And it has its own benefit

You do not need to respond like an Ass.

If you believe Japan is a small country in front of India. It is just your comprehension problem.

India is no way superior to Japan.

Probably because Beluga was a Malakhit Design Bureau program, a tech demonstrator designed to test propulsion systems and hull shapes for upcoming designs.

FYI, Husky is Malakhit's recent SSN design.

Rubin hasn't built an SSN for some time, and is most known for its cruise and ballistic missile submarines like the Oscar and Borei classes.

Hotel seems to be their last production SSN design. Malakhit's generally chosen for SSN designs in today's Russian Navy.

I'm not familiar with Rubin's recent design, but am skeptical of the discussion between another and Gessler. It's plausible it could be an SSK hull enlarged to fit nuclear propulsion, Rubin does design SSKs like the Lada and Kilo classes.

One interesting point of difference between the two design bureaus is that Malakhit favors prop and screw type propulsion while Rubin's more partial to pump-jets. Malakhit's recent designs still show a bias towards prop and screw designs.

We can see this on the Malakhit designed Pr-885M "Yasen-M" class submarine, which features a 7-blade screwback propeller design.

    Rubin's Borei has a pump-jet propulsion system.

Sorry, I'm rambling. Hope you found this informative though.
