    Sad to see a sincere minister like Prabhu go. He probably had a very hard time with Railway board, but to his credit, Railways Capex has increased twice from last year.
    Piyush Goyal is an able minister and am sure he will repeat his power ministry performance, here as well. Best wishes to him.

    this question is not for me but I have an answer
    I'm not happy with Prabhu's resignation
    but I can bet, Goyal is more strict and serious for the tasks alloted to him.

    It is disappointing to see him doing such a wonderful work for 3 years and now with only 2 years left he has to resign on moral grounds.

    He never treated Railway in a bad political manner, his predecessors did.
    He got 2 massive loco contracts signed, increased capital expenditure, increased electrification, paid attention to cleanliness. It's just that safety was compromised and in the end, he paid the price.

    Exact same sentiment as me. :)

    I had a weird mood swing when I saw first Prabhu gone, but Goyal takes over (and Prabhu moved to great ministry/responsibility).

    More info on new Kolkata Metro rakes built by ICF.

    @anant_s @Nilgiri @Ankit Kumar 001

    bogie.jpg

    Traditionally, ICF type bogies are provided in all EMU and Metro coaches. For the first time in IR, a bolster-less Y-frame bogie has been developed for the Kolkata Metro, which is adopted in Metro or EMU trains worldwide. This bogie is free of coil springs. Primary suspension has Conical Rubber Springs while secondary suspension has Air Springs. Again, for the first time in IR, fully suspended Traction Motors are provided in these bogies. That means, the un-sprung mass on the axle will be
    much less compared to the conventional motor coach bogies due to the fact that the weight of the motor along with coupling and drive unit is fully suspended on the bogie frame.

    (Is this an in-house development @anant_s ?)

    Also, more info on Train 18 trainset (160 kph emu), being developed by ICF.

    Totally confused with this pic, the bogie appears to be a variant of legacy ICF design with pneumatic suspension, no yaw damper seen. @anant_s
