    For the love of god just get it into production and replace all those 9mm Sten guns from the 1910s!!! Even if it isn't 100% able to meet the IA's absurdly high requirements it should be more than able to meet the needs of all police units in India, this looks like a weapon that would be more suitable for law enforcement agencies than the INSAS and MP-5.

    Still Scratching Head ......:eek::(

    This Carbine .... looks quite complete, still wondering to why IA as well Law enforcement or CAPFs not looking into this. Why we see them picking a foreign vendor (looking at BSF and their beretta carbone) - somebody locally has made money :(

    Technically, it's still in trials.So can't be inducted,yet.OFBs are just showing off their newest product, like any other OEM.

    PLUS it seems to fit with August RFI of 2,00,000 cqb carbine by army.It will compete against global OEMs,but if indigenous products are really being prioritised,then it should win. RFI parameters are very close to what jpvc offer, atleast on paper.
    Namely,200 m range,3 kg weight and 5.56 calibre.

    Hopefully even if it loses in RFI,there will be demand in police and paramilitary forces.They are largely making do with obsolete stuff and will find jvpc cheaper than foreign imports.

    All hope is not lost,yet.:india:

    The gun in its present form won't get into a police force. Don't expect anything from it in its present form.

    Even before the Army, as I had said a state police force rejected it. Now the count is 4 state police forces and Army. All have rejected it.

    Further the quality of a finished product from OFB, the less said the better. I would give a recent example, AK clones from OFB is ~80% cost of a imported AKMS. Even then Manipur Police force has very recently ordered more Bulgarian AKMS rifles, over that of OFB...

    This is the correct way to hold and fire a gun. The gun must be firmly pressed against the shoulder and the firer must lean forward a bit. This results in minimum recoil, least gun jump and best for rapid shooting.

    Indeed, that's why I would say many of those complaining about "excessive recoil" in the earlier video failed to attribute this to the shooter's inexperience.

    I wonder how it would look if that guy fired a burst though. This was single shot after all.

    These guns have been tested with forces[State police forces involved in anti insurgency operations in North East] almost 3-4 months before when the first news about handing it over to Army for trials came.
