SPG during the dress rehearsal of I-Day celebrations ar Red Fort, practising a medical evacuation of the PM.

The PM's motorcade has a fully euipped ALS ambulance manned by emergency paramedics and doctors.

I for one would like to see a video of PM convoy taking off from 7RCR to Rastrapati Bhawan or Red fort. Like the one you posted of VP Hamid Ansaari's convoy. @Abingdonboy

    @nair

See the pic of Modi addressing the nation? The GOC Delhi Area is missing. He is supposed to be standing to the left and rear of the PM throughout the speech. This was what I was referring to when I told you that the SPG goofed up and told the General to go away and the General chose to walk off the ramparts of the Red Fort rather than stand in a corner after a SPG guys tells him to go away!

The protocol was broken and not a peep in media over this interesting 'slight' to a General Officer of Indian Army!

You mean filmed inside the convoy?

+ It's weird, the PM's address is well known and I imagine one could stand outside it and yet there are almost zero video/pictures of his motorcade coming or leaving which he must do at least twice a day every single day of the week.

There's literally hundreds of these videos of the POTUS:

I guess the PM's house (7 LKM ) isn't a tourist hotspot like the White house or 10 Downing Street?

Correct me if I am wrong but there was no General in that place during the PM's I-Day address in 2016 either:

@Grevion one of my favourite pics of the SPG is Dr MMS leaving 7 RCR/LKM for the last time in 2014:

    Yup. Something like that.
The reason why 7LKM isn't a tourist destination is because a normal Delhi police constable assigned with the security of the outskirts of LKM will find it suspicious if people are standing outside taking pictures or waiting for the PM convoy. He will most probably shoo everyone away and be proud of himself for doing a fine job.

I don't see it ever happening bro, why would the SPG allow such things to be filmed?

That's fair enough but still there are normally quite a few journos posted outside 7 LKM and they NEVER seem to cover the PM's arrival/depature.

So the guy who filmed from the VP convoy is most probably sacked?

Indian Jurnos are more interested in PM's speech or the arriving guests to meet the PM.
They rarely covers his security even if they do, it is mostly third rate cr@p about how it is impossible to break his security cover and how SPG secures Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.

Don't know about that but the VP's convoy was filmed from the Ambulance so likely a paramedic/doctor. Anyway, the SPG would likely be far far more cautious than the Delhi police (that protect the VP) and restrict these sorts of activites much more.

Lol true, every SPG article seems to have 85% the same content (protects Gandhis etc, formed in 1985 etc etc) and with a sprinkle of meaningless adjectives like "foolproof" security "super commandos" .....

I have seen a media person talking about creating issue on this...... The point he was making was the protocol was changed.... and it should not be made a big deal..... But the question was "Was the GOC informed about this change of protocol in advance"????There was a silence...... And was there any explanation why there was a change of protocol??? The problem with raising this question is people assume as if people are questioning the PM.... It is the job SPG, and I fail to understand why would they have a problem with GOC standing near the dias.....
