Most of these have already been addressed in the forum.

Helicopter tenders were withdrawn because of Chopper scam.
Gun tenders were withdrawn because of single vendor.
MMRCA was withdrawn due to costs, procedural issues.
Torpedoes were withdrawn due to Chopper scam.

    PARIKRAMA and Blackjay like this.

Helicopters were not withdrawn because of a scam, but purposely delayed, to implement the DPP 2016 and SPM.
The government has changed the procurement rules to include single vendor deals, so they can't actually cancel tenders because of that:

True, but against the promises of the government to not do blanket blacklisting, so they are doing the same mistakes that Antony did as well, by delaying crucial modernisations, because of this and all the cancelled tenders.

No. All the helicopter tenders were withdrawn because of the Chopper scam. Even the 16 NMRH tender was withdrawn even though we could have signed a contract.

There is no info that the 702 light armored multipurpose vehicles ($190 million, August 2016) has been withdrawn!!!

Isn't this progress well with prototype running and testing been done

    Correct?

Yeah right, another one of these made up excuses. :disagree:

Apache helicopter, DAC cleared and signed + 6 optional now

Chinook helicopter, DAC cleared and signed

    LUH, cancelled / re-issued / cancelled / G2G deal signed

16 x Sikorsky S70 DAC cleared, delayed and cancelled because of price issues:
    http://m.economictimes.com/news/def...-fleet-says-sikorsky/articleshow/51593612.cms

    https://sputniknews.com/military/201706171054717904-india-sikorsky-deal/

Naval LUH and MRH delayed for SPM, just as P75I:
    http://indianexpress.com/article/india/no-model-make-in-india-defence-projects-stuck-4457919/lite/

In fact, the only helicopter tender that was effected, was the VVIP tender itself.

The only reason Apache and Chinook survived was because contract negotiations were already complete under UPA. All others were withdrawn and restarted on flimsy reasons.

LUH was under Modi, not UPA. The actual tender itself was cancelled and converted to GTG, like Rafale.

Basically, all helicopter tenders under the UPA died. This includes the army's and air force's LUH and the navy's 16 NMRH, 75 NMRH, 56 NUH.

Now we have the Ka-226T GTG MII, NUH MII and NMRH MII to replace the cancelled tenders. Naturally, there will be a delay in starting MII, but that has more to do with procedural delays.

You don't remember it, but we had a tender out for 56 NUH for the navy in 2012 and that was cancelled by the Modi govt.

    http://economictimes.indiatimes.com...place-chetak-in-navy/articleshow/47092115.cms
But like the Army-IAF case, the Navy's earlier tender for importing 56 NUH was cancelled to ensure the project becomes a 'Buy & Make (Indian)' venture.

In August last year, soon after the Modi government came to power, the defence ministry had scrapped the long-pending acquisition of 197 light-utility helicopters for Army-IAF from abroad due to irregularities.

Lol same nonsense statement, but instead of the fake chopper scam reason of your last post, it's now "flimsy" reason.

So the navy's NUH and NMRH were cancelled. So was the IAF's and IA's LUH. All at the same time.

The only common denominator there was the fact that all three were under UPA, nothing else.

As I said, they were call cancelled due to graft, but they gave the vendors flimsy reasons to cancel. This was pretty clear.
