    Is Cong scared of Modi?

    Seems to be so. Consider.

Specially since 2007 Gujarat elections, big Cong leaders have been refraining from anti Modi statements. They have seen that such statements will not carry convictions with the people. After all Sonia's maut ka saudagar bombed.

Allegations, sting operations etc have been shown to be baseless. Cong has no more ammunition against him.

Witness the two fasts. Modi is being fully supported by the BJP leadership, while Vaghela is sitting alone. Vaghela is alone on the footpath. After all any move to promote sadbhavna just cannot be faulted on any grounds, least of political.

Modi has a potential of uniting the BJP and a united BJP can be a force lerthal to Cong.

And suppose Modi and Mamata combine? Has Jaswant Singh lost the ability to pop up to lead an anti-Congress conclave that is not seen as too ultra-Hindu extremist

Mamta & Modi cannot come to same platform... Mamta has political compulsion here in Bengal losing the minority vote to left...

BJP as such moved away from ultra right policies to keep their other allies ...

Then why not X or Y. Suppose an X combines with Z?

Plus point of Modi is that he has charisma, his face is known across India. That too inspite of our sickular media.

You think Modi is ultra Hindu extremist. Perhaps crores of Hindu too think that. They in fact see him as an extreme nationalist. Do Hindus hate another nationalist who is Hindu too?

Right now security of the nation and corruption are the two major issues. There Modi scores.

It is their estimate, not of intellectuals that will matter in the elections.

Stark fact is that secularism has never been a deciding factor.

Bose, can Mamata win solely with muslim votes? NO. Harsh fact. Can she lose if Hindus are solidly behind her, wherever the muslims be?

Alliances are not static, they change with time.

Modi is the best bet for Indian PM no doubt about that... He is the best administrator in spite of what SEC - LIARS say... but all depends how many BJP pull through in the next election... if BJP manages around 240 - 250 then the deal is done for Modi... or else if the number are less and BJP have to depend upon there allies then some black ships like Nitish may create issue with Modi...

you are right if the Hindu votes are with her, she need not to worry about the Muslim votes... but the unfortunate thing is that Hindu votes do not sway in that fashion... in fact Hindu votes are all most equally divided between the two... That is the reason of Mamta aligning in such fashion.

Going by that line of logic, the BJP as a party is scared of Rahul Gandhi.

Jaswant Singh is no where in the scene... Mamta & Modi will not combine due to Mamta's political compulsion...

    1. It would be a pity if Jaswant remained out of the scene. The right and good man to lead your country at this juncture.

    2. Since when was there a compulsion in politics? Mamta is not unknown to BJP.

Jaswant an Ex - Cavalry man is nice guy no doubt... but how good administrator I am not sure about it... more over he has lot of distractors in his own party... considered too liberal...

Mamta was with BJP in the past but the situation has changed now... she will not risk the minority vote she got last election swayed away from left at the cost of sharing power at center.

Congress is not only scared but very scared.

Modi has single handedly destroyed congress in Gujarat. In Modi Vs Rahul Gandhi, Modi has proved that ability of good governance, Administration, Powerful speaker, Mass base leaders whereas on other side Rahul is just bacha Gandhi with horsesh!t and nothing more.
