J-20 practicing aerobatic maneuvers | Alert 5

China's J-20 stealth fighter (67 feet) is only 6% longer than the F-14 Tomcat (63 feet). Both are delta-wing fighters. The following J-20 video on Alert 5 shows the J-20's impressive maneuverability. The J-20 should be more maneuverable than the F-14.

The J-20 has steerable vertical stabilizers, canards, and ventral stabilizers (which do not exist on the F-14). However, the F-14 has steerable horizontal stabilizers, which perform a similar function to the J-20's canards. Also, the F-14 has fixed ventral fins. The J-20's steerable vertical stabilizers and ventral stabilizers should theoretically provide it with superior maneuverability in comparison to an F-14.

what a joke, no single post stall maneuver, not one just boring loops that any modern jet fighter ca do.

powered by Russian Al-31s with a length of 21 meters the J-20 is overweight and underpowered not even a Cobra, it has a horrible aerodynamics its side weapons bay panels with the engine nacelles have horrible blending which will increase turbulance, huge canards flapping and huge ventral fins canted for stealth, no wonder the jet can not do post stall, no thrust vectoring to fix the flat sides and the ship like radome with those huge bulges on the intakes
