Nice. But can you afford to keep silent for something so damning?

The Italians won't do this, the only ones capable of this would be the US.

For what? Australian sub deal in which they are not a party or deny India best nuke tech including nuke propulsion for IAC-2 which Russia and US have been putting conditions to. Or is to to ensure that India does not become self sufficient in weapon production which will make India chart its own course and speed just like China?

US does not have a chance to enter our UW fleet. Nor any doubts created can let them sneak in F16 or F18.
The Soryu being pushed in Aus deal is a non starter. Japan are not yet ready for any proper weapon export deals.. Even with USA prodding, they just cant give out as per the conditions of Australia nor they can actually transfer the TOT of Soryu

The US don't want Rafale to be an industrial success.

@randomradio, imagine a few months back most people supporting Rafale deal were asking for the head of Parrikar for being the biggest hurdle in the deal. Today same man is defending France in one of the most murky episodes of his life.

Now you are finally talking.. Bcz that is the very first assessment any sane mind will make.. add a fleet of XXX Rafales here and all US potential weapons and platforms in IAF and IN becomes potentially null and void.

But will we still buy US teens? Teh answer quite emphatically will be a big NO..
@vstol jockey - even remotely you think sir, teens have a chance?

Sorry bro. US is fighting for same nuke reactors in India with France as a competitor also. The game is much bigger. Either you dominate Indian market today or you won't stand a chance after five years in any department. If France takes it all today, everyone else including Russians are out of it.

    That is the fear..
The threat assessment report that i got from a leading think tank in USA and not yet published is the cooperation that India and France are having in nuclear energy field with clear cut potential game changing technology being shared in civilian and military projects.

In that assessment they pointed that India does not need nuclear tests anymore due to access to french simulation database enabling it to minaturise and develop next generation warhead which will go into its MIRV projects and will potentially become the new gamechanger in south east asia conflict . It clearly says that India, Pakistan and China among the 3, this change coupled with SSBN and SSN in a short time will enable India to checkmate everything related to China.

The guaranteed rise of India will be acknowledged by the economic growth potential and coming out of its shell with global support for a permanent seat in security council with Veto powers.

But it also added this will be on the basis of India not signing NPT and CTBT with no international control or monitoring system which goes against the very basic foundations with which USA has governed and guided the global Nuclear energy community and its repercussions will be there for sure.

It advised that USA should support India but also keep check that the overall global order does not get too much distorted and India does not end up becoming a new China over time..

The Russians understand Indian politics. They won't try such stupid stunts, especially when BJP is in power. They know, just like how you and I know, that it won't work unless the material was classified "secret". The Russian lobby is powerful enough in India without having to resort to such tactics. Plus, they have never done stuff that will compromise Indian security like that.

90% of the people don't understand how India works, forget individuals like Parrikar or Doval.

Whatever they did worked in Brazil. Their moves worked easily in Korea and Singapore, even Morocco.

And they may have had a part to play in the UAE deferring the Rafale deal, especially after Qatar and Egypt bought the aircraft in quick succession.

Whatever they have been trying to do in India has not worked.

So let's leak classified information and hope the Indian govt puts a hold on all French related contracts. Pretty clever.

    and a quote
    +++
Why are you doing this I ask?

He replies: “In the wake of the recent future submarine decision (in Australia) this matter went from one of a very serious breach for both France and India to a matter of national security significance to Australia and the US.”

In other words, he wants Australia to know that its future submarine partner, France, has already lost control of secret data on India’s new submarines. His hope is that this will spur the Turnbull government and DCNS to step up security to ensure Australia’s $50 billion submarine project does not suffer the same fate.

He says he is a whistleblower and maintains that revealing to the world, via The Australian, that this classified data exists in a dangerously uncontrolled form is worthwhile because it will serve Australia’s interests even if it causes an international furore.

He presses a button on his computer and his screen flickers to life.

Here in a Melbourne cafe, amid the clatter of plates, laughter and the smell of coffee, he scrolls through the secrets of India’s submarine fleet. He has not broken any laws and the authorities know who he is. He plans to surrender the disk to the government on Monday.
