More than 50 people have been killed and at least 200 injured in a mass shooting at an open-air country music festival in Las Vegas.

Terror spread through the city's famous strip as a gunman launched an attack from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, unloading hundreds of rounds of ammunition from an automatic weapon towards concert-goers.

Police confirmed the attacker - described as a "lone wolf" - was a local resident who has been shot and killed by officers.

    Can't say I'm surprised. RIP

terrorism- the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

I doubt Paddock killed anyone for political aims.Maybe he just likes killing people.Maybe played a lot of GTA before the shooting.

"Stephen Paddock worked for a predecessor company of Lockheed Martin from 1985 until 1988," the company tells ABC in a statement. "We’re cooperating with authorities to answer questions they may have about Mr. Paddock and his time with the company."

Paddock was also a licensed hunter and private pilot. He owned an aircraft that he kept at Mesquite Metro Airport in Texas from 2007 to 2009.

While the suspect wasn’t familiar to authorities, his name should be. The suspect’s brother told ABC’s Tampa affiliate WFTS that their estranged father, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, was a notorious bank robber who spent several years on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitive” list.

A wanted poster circulated in 1969 described the elder Paddock as a “very dangerous” criminal.

“Diagnosed as psychopathic,” the description reads. “Has carried firearms in commission of bank robberies. He reportedly has suicidal tendencies and should be considered armed and very dangerous.”

People who know Paddock says he was a pretty normal guy.

So the only reason I can think of is he went psycho in a short time or was radicalized.
    What say @Hellfire?

He was a heavy gambler. I think more likely he lost big. And wanted to take people out with him in despair. Lets see.

The claims by ISIS have turned out to be false as of now.
