For all the know how and maturity you seem to show, your statements on timelines for LSA are bad jokes. You haven't a clue on Project and Program management works and this blunder will more likely ensure LSA never flies let alone reach a phase of prototyping. You developed LSA all by yourself, give you credit for it while many others don't, as a test show it IAF and IN and let's see how you can manage the first of many change requests.

As said, pitch the LSA as a Single engine 5th gen fighter for beyond 2030 and work with the IAF and IN from the start to see how it evolves.

I have presented it to IN already. But I still maintain 24 months for rolling out prototype, 36 months for proving hardware to allow a decision on mass production like F-35, 48 months to complete FOC and deliver first few aircraft to set up the first squadron. I am repeating these claims once again inspite of your inferences. Call me an idiots, I don't care and will never blame you for stating such.

    http://www.janes.com/article/67741/...r-derby-mk-iii-under-make-in-india-initiative

Israel's Rafael is offering to locally build its Derby Mk III beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM) for India's Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), the company told Jane's on 14 February.

India's Tejas LCA platform has already successfully been configured with the baseline Derby missile as part of the aircraft's final operational clearance (FOC) phase in 2016.

The Derby Mk III is the Indian version of the I-Derby Extended Range (ER) missile unveiled at Aero India 2015, which features new capabilities over the original Derby, including a dual-pulse rocket motor, software-defined radio-frequency seeker, and maximum range of 100 km. The Derby Mk III and the short-range, infrared-guided Python 5 are currently under consideration and evaluation by Indian Air Force (IAF) to arm Tejas, according to Rafael.

On top of that they are crying over NLCA. Move on people, concentrate on Mk2 and AMCA.

Sir, can you please point me to the thread where you have discussed about the LSA. I keep coming across your posts where you refer to it. But, can't seem to locate it myself.

    Thanks,
    Heph.

Lol.... I laughed too when I heard that. This guy was too excited about being on TV probably giving his 1st interview.

IMO, he meant to say, u can configure the plane to carry LBGs instead of BVR missiles. Or, maybe someone did fill up his bread pakora with some of that good stuff. Who knows??
