And here I was thinking Gyros were used to keep altitude/orientation/turning etc in aircraft.

Altitude/orientation/turning has nothing to do with aircraft stability people.. Move along...Disperse

I can bet, if the scientists at PSUs will work like this than surely we can make anything at a very fast rate. But it's our fate that in India, nothing is delivered at correct time.
Even PSUs like HAL is not able to deliver 8 LCA/year as they promised.

Long back on this thread I had posted that we have a mafia of IAF+DRDO+MOD working to ensure that we remain import dependent. We have the capabilities but we do not have the urge. This was posted very recently by some defence analyst also.

Government should develop LSA (Light STEALTH Aircraft) based on LCA. its will be more easier to modify the Airframe to stealthy design than incorporate other features when first stage is completed/successful.
Why to waste too much time on papers. Learn with practical may be more easier. We already spent much time in LCA Project.
i think Government should think over it.

Then you will find Mafia in the whole world.

Who is stopping you to create the LSA for the Global Market.

I had been working on the twin engine configuration of LSA for sometime now and What I discovered is that Twin engine configuration of LSA using HTFE-40 engine will add about 470ltrs of additional volume for twin air ducts compared to single engine design and additional 300kgs to the airframe. However, The fuel capacity of both the designs remains un-altered and remains 3.5tons. But twin engine LSA will have 10% more range compared to single engine LSA due to better SFC of HTFE-40 engine at all altitudes. The range increase for low level penetration actually improves even more compared to single engine version. This range increase is even after taking into effect the increased weight of the aircraft.
This case is good only for HTFE-40 engine. If I use Honeywell f125X, the fuel weight reduces, the weight increase will be around 400kgs and the range will also reduce.

LSA will not be able to supercruise with HTFE-40.
    Isn't it?

It will have afterburner. You can easily attach an afterburner to any jet engine.

It will depend on what kind of final pressure ratios & TET the engine will have.

Its not an issue. Afterburner is an optional feature. It can be easily incorporated with it.

in Arjun tank thread , he said

he had recruited ex naval test pilots

current stage is detailed CFD & Wind tunnel tests

i guess that meant scale model is getting built ..

I will be recruiting test pilot and test engineer in next 60 days to take the project forward and sounded IN about it. Anyone retiring soon enough will get contacted by me. The detailed CFD stage has started. After this any changes required, will be done and CFD repeated again followed by RCS check and if all is fine, we will go ahead with wind tunnel tests. The intervening period between wind tunnel testing will also see the completion of detailed structural design with FEA to check structural integrity and final freeze of CAD design for prototype building.
