Amid a crackdown on terror, the militants were nabbed during a joint search operation launched last night. In a joint search operation, the 52 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group Baramulla captured the militants.

Two local Jaish-e-Mohammad militants have been arrested in Kanispora area of Baramulla district in India's northern Jammu and Kashmir state amid a crackdown on terrorism, Indian news agency ANI reported.

The militants were nabbed during a joint search operation launched last night by Indian Army's 52 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group (SOG) Baramulla. Ammunition besides an AK 47, a pistol and grenades were recovered from them, including Jaish and Hizbul Mujahideen stamps, the news agency said.

In another breakthrough for Indian security agencies, a Pakistani spy was arrested in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The spy named Bodh Raj was held while he was trying to escape. A map showing deployment of forces and two Pakistani SIM cards were also seized from him.

"This is a major breakthrough so far as national security is concerned and the arrest of some more persons is also likely in the days to come," the Samba police said in a statement, according to ANI.

The Samba district police said that based on the information received from military intelligence with regard to the involvement of Bodh Raj for his espionage activities and passing on vital information regarding deployment and movement of security forces to Pakistan, a special operation was conducted to nab him in the border area of Ramgarh.

Maj Gen Gagandeep Bakshi on Facebook

Pak has launched a full scale Fire asasult on 70 of our posts and some 40 villages using small arms, battalion level mortars( 81 Mm)and RPGs. Reportedly they have also used 120mm mortars which are an artillery weapon and hence an escalation. This is in retaliation for our Surgical strike which they were trying to deny but are well aware of what happened. There were reportedly 3 BAT style actions. In the one in Tangdhar apparently the SSG commandoes were trying to cross the LC fence when they were foiled. So far we have responded at a matching level. Why should we impose such restraints. Response should be over-matching.We should use artillery for effect. Small arms and mortars do nothing to troops in Defenses. Mostly just wates ammunition. From 2000- 2003 we were using medium and heavy artillery and had made Pak cry uncle and ask for a cease fire. The date 29 Nov is critical. Gen Rahil Sharief retires that day. I personally dont think he is in a mood to retire. the easiest way to get an extension is to escalate militarily on the LC/IB.I wont be surprised if more of that happens.

Fifteen Pakistan Rangers killed in retaliatory firing by India, says BSF

On Thursday, a Pakistani Ranger was killed and another injured in retaliatory firing by BSF, as Pakistani troops heavily shelled five sectors along LoC and IB in J&K in which one BSF jawan died and 13 other civilians were injured.

Fifteen Pakistan Rangers have been killed in retaliatory firing by India along the international border, the Border Security Force (BSF) said Friday. The BSF said Pakistani security forces are pushing militants into India’s side as it was successful in foiling two infiltration bids in recent days.

Meanwhile the Jammu district collector said that a civilian has been killed in Pakistani firing in Khor belt.

Heavy firing is being exchanged between the two countries along the border resulting in casualties on both sides. Earlier today, Pakistan continued violating the ceasefire with firing and mortal shelling on Indian posts and civilian areas along the Line of Control and international border in districts of Jammu, Kathua and Rajouri.

On Thursday, a Pakistani Ranger was killed and another injured in retaliatory firing by BSF, as Pakistani troops heavily shelled five sectors along LoC and IB in J&K in which one BSF jawan died and 13 other civilians were injured.

Since the surgical strikes by army on terror launch pads in PoK on September 28-29, five Indians, including four security personnel, have been killed and 34 injured in ceasefire violations by Pakistan. On October 21, BSF killed seven Pak rangers and a terrorist opposite to Hiranagar sector in Kathua, in which one BSF jawan was injured.

It's hardly authentic numbers are always flawed claims,

But the skirmish is tough, never good to see soldiers die.

Rip to Sön of their land. They are only paying price for some ill deeds of army isi and government.

The game is already on brother.
. Lot of defence deals weapon spare delivery. In these times of recession we are spending too much. There has to be a reason.
There seems to be new doctrine in process. Keep loc hot and when it's time for re election in India we get delivered with goodies. Attack the Pakistan with full force.

Soldier dies in an encounter near LoC, militants mutilate body before fleeing

An army jawan was killed on Friday in an encounter with terrorists who later mutilated his body near the Line of Control (LoC) in Macchil sector of Kupwara district of Kashmir
    .
One militant was also killed in the gunbattle, army said.

“In an encounter close to the Line of Control this evening, one solider was martyred and one terrorist was killed. The terrorists mutilated the body of the jawan before fleeing back into Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir under the cover of firing by Pakistan Army,” an army spokesman said.

He said the incident reflected the barbarism pervading in official and unofficial organisations in Pakistan.

“The incident will be responded to appropriately,” he added.
