    MIG 27 crashes at Mynaguri in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal.One villager reportedly killed, a few others injured.Pilot ejects savely.

    MiG 27 crashes in West Bengal, two pilots dead

    Kolkata, July 24 (IANS) A MiG 27 fighter aircraft crashed in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district Saturday morning, killing the two pilots onboard, a defence official said.
    The aircraft crashed in Moinaguri village in Jalpaiguri. Twelve villagers, including four children, were injured in the accident, Wing Commander Mahesh Upasani, the defence spokesperson (eastern headquarters), told IANS here.

    That's sad. Another Mig lost. Thankfully the pilot is safe.
    Its time we start replacing these ancient planes with something new.

    killing the two pilots onboard
    I don't know why you said, the pilots are safe.

    That's so bad. RIP to the pilots.

    The first post said that the pilots ejected. It led me to believe otherwise.

    First RIP the pilots

    What the heck are the fools in IAF & MOD are doing even after so many mishaps they are continuing with the damn things with the MRCA circus as it is who knows when these pilots will get to fly those things hopefully there wont be more accidents where pilots gets killed.
