I don't see the resemblance with an ATLIS. The head cover is different (I don't even think the mystery pod can be said to have a head cover) and there are these weird fins on the tail plus an odd bulge on the belly.

Perhaps it's some instrumentation pod for flight tests?

As for Mirages upgraded in India, yes, the process has started a while ago and some have already been delivered.

I have noticed these differences. But all available information points to this being an ATLIS (also did a reverse image search on the pic I posted).

However I'm not aware of the physical differences between ATLIS I and II, or if IAF operated some specialized version that included other functions (that tail part is particularly interesting), so played it safe and said it could be a "version of ATLIS".

    I don't think it's ATLIS pod.
It's a "old" Mirage 2000, with the black nose (not a -5), so a old prototyp ol laser pod???
    Isn't a russian pod ?

    This is ATLIS : upload_2017-11-3_8-22-28.jpeg

THIS IS NOT A FRENCH (operationnal) M2000.
French air force never used laser guided bomb on M2000-5F. Only on M2000D (and N ? I'm not sure)

I think it is a greek Mirage 2000-5. Or a plane used to show to a foreign customer the potentiality of the plane (-5 or -5mk2 or -9)

This image I posted is taken from Vayu-Sena which is otherwise a very reliable source of IAF information:

This is not the same pod - this is the PDLCT pod (also from Thomson-CSF).
