Modular Automobiles?

    This actually seems quite useful, and looks pretty cute:

    Dock-n-Go is a modular trailer attachment for the tiny SmartForTwo car:

    Just think, you don't always need to make use of a roomier vehicle - sometimes you only need the extra room once in awhile for certain things. It would be nice to have an instant flatbed when you need it. And that funky 6-wheeler look will really attract girls.

    Actually, I'm wondering if the same concept could be done for the Tata Nano and the Reva electric car. For the Reva, the trailer module could also hold extra battery packs to extend the vehicle range.

    When Tata showed its Pixel concept at auto shows, it featured vertically swinging doors, just to look fancy and grab attention. They could likewise show a trailer module like this one on a Nano or Pixel concept car at the auto shows, just to similarly grab attention. I think it would look bold and cool.
