As of now we are being asked to pay 2.2 times the price of Rafale as part of the deal without weapons with no TOT/Offsets. Why must we pay 2.2 times the cost price when we can easily buy another Rafale as a spare? Why must we pay for training for all 36 aircraft when we will be able to train all our pilots ourselves after first 8-10 aircraft?

    Why?

Pretty sure I just explained why. You had ample opportunity (4 years worth) to close on a much better deal and you blew it. Now you pay out-the-door price or get nothing.

France has options and we wish them well. They have been very nice business associates. We too have options and those options are now more firmer after what SU-30MKI did to Typhoon. Indian MOD has asked for complete debrief of those excercises with HUD videos already and IAF is in a soup.

We won't pay out-the-door price. Regarding getting nothing, "there are many in line from typhoon to gripen to SU 35, to MIG 35. Options are many for India. Buyer is king. There is a saying in hindi "Paisa Bolta Hain" meaning MONEY SPEAKS when you show money there will be several dogs wagging their tail. You have seen statements from Britain and eurofighter consortioum how they are prepared to set up plant and make India a global hub for typhoon. And Indians know how to bargain hard if France bends only then this deal will go otherwise we will find one that is ready to bend.

There is another saying in English which says, "A mare runs for money". A horse eats green grass but runs for money.

Well... one option. Build more Flankers; but I already said that. Also, putting so much stock in some canned WVR exercises is a tad fanboyish. In a few months we're probably gonna see outrage over a leaked video of British pilots giggling amongst themselves over their supposed drubbing.

Except that's already been explained, so the video is irrelevant:

RAF Challenge Indian Air Force 'Whitewash' Claims | Forces TV

Can't believe you still think the Su-30 legitimately won against 2 Typhoons WVR. That's an insult to the pilots more than the aircraft.

Oh yeah, and, from an actual pilot:

Well, that was in reference to Rafale... but whatever. In any case, money does speak, but it apparently wasn't enough to make Dassault accept liability for Indian manufacturing standards; and I rather doubt any other Western company will accept it either. You will simply remain hung-up on the same issue with Typhoon unless that demand is withdrawn. As for your other supposed "options"... Gripen (redundant to Tejas), Mig-35 (redundant to Su-30MKI), Su-35 (equates to more Su-30 production).

Do you have any brain in you? The limitation was forced by RAF and not IAF of 2Nm. If Typhoon needs two D/Ts to be able to stay wth SU-30MKI, it is their problem and not of SU-30MKI. It is like asking a man to cut his arms off to fight. You have a problem as you do not have enough fuel, it is not a problem with SU-30MKI, Typhoon has a problem. AND which aircombat will ever take place at a place where Typhoon does not need D/Ts? Accept it that you have been fucked and raped hollow. Do not look for excuses.

No-2 Sqn of IAF flies Indian built SU-30MKI. So please stop making an issue of build quality and expertise. We Indians fought Alexender's army with swords made of wootz steel when they were armed with copper alloy swords. Pls do not teach us. Even the Monguls were shocked to see the quality of our weapons when they fought against Maharana Sangha of Mewar and their cannons were made ineffective.
