Delhi Police comes directly under Home Ministry. Therefore, The central government is responsible for the atrocities committed.

True the Home min Has some explain to do, wonder why ramdev resisted eviction by jumping among the crowd and trying to flee!!
Evading the police is Unlawful,if he felt the Eviction order was unlawful he should take it to court and not surround him self with people and evade eviction!!

Evading Arrest? Why? Why would he be arrested if he was doing a non-violent protest against the government? Is it a crime to propagate the fallacies of a corrupt government among the general masses? The government sends the letter at 11PM and at 1AM sends the police force to evict teh masses and arrest the swami.Double standards?

What kind a government is this which calls the biggest terrorist in the world as Laden Ji and calls a Baba with a mass following a thug? Is being Hindu a crime in this country? There is a limit to pseudo secularism.

Baba Ramdev resumes 'satyagraha' in Haridwar

Baba Ramdev resumes 'satyagraha' in Haridwar - Rediff.com News

Undeterred by his forceful eviction from New Delhi, Baba Ramdev resumed his agitation at his ashram in Haridwar, saying the 'satyagraha' will continue till his demands on curbing corruption and black money are met by the Centre.

Baba Ramdev sat on 'satygraha' along with his supporters and disciples at 'yagyashala' of his Patanjali Yogpeeth late Sunday night, yogpeeth sources said on Monday.

The yoga guru, who was bundled out of the national capital after police crackdown on his followers, tried to resume his satyagrah in Noida on Sunday but was not allowed to enter Uttar Pradesh.

He was stopped on the border of Muzaffarnagar district at Bhuraheri police check post where the administrative officials asked him to return to Uttarakhand. Later, Baba returned to Patanjali Yogpeeth and began his fast.
Baba told his followers that he will continue his satyagraha till his demands on curbing corruption and black money are met by the centre.

Ramdev had on Sunday said, "No one should violate law and so I am not going to Delhi. I was not allowed to reach Noida in UP to continue the protest. Now it will happen here".

He had said that the government can stop him from entering Delhi for not more than 15 to 30 days and he will come again to the national capital.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had on Sunday evening met Baba Ramdev in Yogpeeth and assured him full support and security if he wanted to continue his fast.
Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader N D Tiwari had also travelled to Yogpeeth to meet Baba Ramdev and lent his full support to the cause for which he is fighting.

The Uttarakhand BJP has announced that it will observe a "black day" at all district headquarters on Monday to protest the police crackdown on Baba Ramdev and his supporters.

Yogpeeth sources said that if the number of those sitting on fast with Baba increases, the venue of satyagraha can be shifted to a bigger hall in phase II of Patanjali Yogpeeth.

Keeping in view the demonstrations planned by different groups, a high alert has been sounded in the entire state, police said

Injured lash out at docs, allege they were denied medical care

Raj Bala (54), a resident of Gurgaon, is fighting for life at GB Pant Hospital. Bala suffered neck injuries and broke her spinal cord leading to paralysis during the lathicharge by the police yesterday at Ramlila Maidan, the venue where yoga guru Ramdev was holding his indefinite hunger strike
“She is undergoing an operation. But the doctors have said her condition is critical though they are trying their best. Nothing can be said as of now,” said Anil Malik, son of Raj Bala.

There were hundreds of patients, who were refused to get admitted to the hospital and were discharged without any medical checkup. According to those admitted, the doctors refused to see them after the police ordered them not to attend the patients.

The relatives of the victim said they waited for 4-5 hours to get hold of a doctor.

“We bought her to the hospital at around 1.30 am, but there was nobody to look after the patients. Many were seen loitering around in wait of the doctors,” said Anil Malik.

He said it was only after the pressure from media and opposition leaders that the hospital finally admitted his mother. “Had the doctors given her first aid, her condition would have been stabilised by now,” said Vikas, Bala’s nephew. “We also had to wait for half an hour to get the ambulance to shift her from one building to the other,” he added.

The government is confused about the reson it should give to defend its inappropriate action.

Once it said that there was a report by IB stating that there is a danger to Swami Ramdev's Life, then it again changed its stance by calling it a Law and Order problem.

The real reason why this happened so late at night was that the next day was a sunday. Therefore, Lots more people were bound to come and pay a visit. Already approximately one lakh people were sitting with Swami Ramdev. The numbers would have swelled upto 1,50,000 on sunday. The government panicked on seeing the situation it was going to result into.

No one he had taken permission for Yoga camp as no yoga was happening his permission was canceled.
they felt mass gathering of people may prove to be hard to handle after all when mob mentality kicks in it really hard to control and law and order needs to be maintained!!
Considering how popular he is he is a high profile target, with so many people there there no way to guarantee his safety as he refused having police around him .
we must look from the shoes of the Commissioner of Delhi, what if in a worst case scenario some thing had happened sort of like the mentally unstable person who attacked the pope during the mass.
what if he was injured the crowd might be un controllable.
the police has to factor it all. when he was served an externment order he jumped on to the crowd and they prevented Externment which resulted in clashes with police who were carrying out orders, stones were also flung around ,if only he had accepted the Externment order without jumping on the crown when police woke him up and served the order mot of the Midnight drama could have been avoided

    Grossly Hypothetical!!

If there was danger to the Swami, why wasn't he intimated earlier in this regard?

The Government opened its eyes at 1 PM in the night!!..what was the government doing before that?

You say the government was apprehensive about controlling the crowd, Is this why the people were beaten and forcibly evicted. Was that the only way left to evict the masses?

The truth is that the government has no excuse left to deny its hand in the brutal way it treated the masses.

So govt felt that sleeping people can cause law and order problem

The reality is that govt felt that many more will join the fast next morning including Anna so they took this barbaric action at night. What a shame!!
