Since the Khangress are achieving new lows each time, lets hope that they are not actually selling our defence info,
As we know in Naval War room case, Khangress is already doing the same.

In the VVIP chopper scam why was Abhishek Varma not questioned? Strange

CBI is a stooge of UPA. What do we expect. That is lame that inspite of so much corruption cases they are walking freely with their heads up.

    This missile is a beauty.
Hope this is manufactured and deployed.

There are points in Rajasthan that can cover most of the key Pakistani facilities with this range.

Prithvi is much cheaper than Brahmos and has a much bigger warhead. It can be used against underground bunkers with a right warhead. A ballistic missile has very high terminal velocity.

Any weapon is relevant only if it is manufactured and deployed in enough numbers.

The enemy is not looking at our "scientific prowess". The enemy is looking at what we have on the ground.

The tech or the missile ??? Prithvi II has been deployed in field since 1996. These launches are usually for testing new technologies (Not the missile itself) that can be applied to this, as well as, to other missiles.

The color of smoke indicates its a liquid fuelled missile?
Larger throw weight but very corrosive fuel.

It is indeed a liquid-fueled missile.

Not all liquid fuels are of the same quality. I suppose you think we use the same low-quality
imported fuels as Pakistan's older set of missiles?

Even among the same materials, there are many variations.

There are military-grade liquid fuels that can stay up in the missile for weeks altogether. While others
corrode after as short as 18-24 hours.

Prithvi-II successfully test-fired for second time in two days

India on Tuesday successfully test-fired for the second time in two days its indigenously developed nuclear-capable Prithvi-II missile, which has a strike range of 350 km, from a test range at Chandipur near Balasore.

The surface-to-surface missile was test-fired from a mobile launcher in salvo mode from launch complex-3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at about 12.20pm.

"Today's test fire of Prithvi-II missile is also successful and achieved all its targets," Director of ITR, MVKV Prasad told PTI.

He said today's test fire was as accurate as yesterday's exercise.

The scientists randomly chose a missile from the production stock and put it on test. The total launch activities were carried out by the specially formed SFC and monitored by the scientists of DRDO as part of practice drill.

The trajectory of the missile was tracked by the DRDO radars, electro-optical tracking systems and telemetry stations located along the coast of Odisha. The experts were deployed at Paradip, Puri and Andaman to monitor the trajectory of the missile.

"The downrange teams onboard the ship deployed near the designated impact point in the Bay of Bengal monitored the terminal events and splashdown," they said.

Inducted into India's Strategic Forces Command in 2003, the Prithvi-II missile, the first missile to be developed by DRDO under India's prestigious IGMDP (Integrated Guided Missile Development Program) is now a proven technology, they said.

"The series of Prithvi-II launch was part of a regular training exercise of the SFC and was monitored by DRDO scientists," they said.

This training launch clearly indicated India's operational readiness to meet any eventuality and also established the reliability of this deterrent component of India's Strategic arsenal, the source said.

Prithvi is capable of carrying 500kg to 1000kg of warheads and thrusted by liquid propulsion twine engines. It uses advanced inertial guidance system with manoeuvring trajectory.
