As far as ATGM is concerned its already gone to Israelis. For Howitzers BAE waited for orders for some time, made losses of USD 50 million by keeping factory open without production for Indians and now it is closed. Decision to buy Apache & Chinook was taken 3 years back. No contract signed yet. With Light Combat Helicopter to be ready in some time, people will start questioning Apache purchase just like now they are questioning Rafale as Tejas is ready. Priority for Air Force is combat planes. We already bought a lot of transport equipment in last 5 years so Chinook will not be a high priority purchase and will be on back-burner. India had option to buy 6 more C-17 & 4 more P-8 and we are not buying them. All these deals mentioned were sanctioned by past government. Sirkosky helicopter & Harpoon missiles sanctioned by this government but they were pending for sanction with last government for long time. No new initiative on its own by this government except for some vague co-development efforts during Obama visit.
