Pakistan Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has called Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's statement regarding attacking Islamabad to bring back bring fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim as 'irresponsible and shameful'.

Modi had said if he wins the elections he would bring Ibrahim to India to be tried for the 1993 blasts in Mumbai.

According to Dawn News, he told a Gujarati news channel on Saturday that the previous administrations had not tried hard enough.

Modi also criticised Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar, saying political statements were not necessary for bringing back the Indian don.

Modi also questioned if US President Barack Obama held a press conference regarding US Navy Seals' operation in Abbottabad for targeting al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden?
Responding to Modi's criticism, India's former home minister Chidambaram had said the government cannot send commandos to bring back Ibrahim.

Nisar in a statement said that Modi should first decide where Ibrahim was living and then should dream of attacking Pakistan.

He added that Modi seemed had not learnt a lesson from his 'shameful' actions as the chief minister of Gujrat, which earned him a bad name.

Khan said the statement from an expected Indian prime minister and leader of a major political party was provocative and condemnable showing enmity towards Pakistan.

Modi had crossed all limits in his enmity towards Pakistan and Muslims, and his election as Indian prime minister would destabilise the region, he added.

Khan said the efforts of the Pakistani government for peace in the region should not be construed as its weakness.

If they stop Harbouring and training the terrorists then such statements would not be necessary.
Anything unfortunate in India, and people wonder if there is pakistan involved in it. So the minister in Pakistan govt should talk about matters pertaining to their country and solve their issues first then talk about India.

Indians dont trust pakistanis way after since 1947, what have pakistan done to remedy it?

As a matter of fact, Mr. Modi talked about attacking Dawood and his aides. Not Islamabad.

To be honest if we count all the shameless acts of Pakistan against India (just acts and not statements) then we might have to use 2 TB hard drive just to store it in Text format.

This is how the relations will move forward.
I’m an outsider to Delhi and to politics as well, Narendra Modi says - The Times of India
You have said that you do not want to be confrontational with Pakistan. Do you feel that your "tough-on-national security" platform will give you space to deal with Pakistan?

We do not want to be confrontational with any country. Foreign policy cannot be conducted by having a confrontational approach with neighbours or for that matter with any other country. We have to conduct our foreign policy with all other nations and specially our neighbours with a sense of trust and mutual cooperation. However, supremacy of national interest has to be one of the basic planks of foreign policy.

Relations cannot be improved as long as there is a trust deficit and to bridge the trust deficit, mere talk cannot replace concrete action. Our country continues to face the onslaught of terrorism emanating out of the soil of Pakistan. The first step in building any meaningful relation with Pakistan has to be Pakistan taking effective and demonstrable action against the terror networks that operate from its soil. Once that happens there will be an increased trust between the two neighbours which will enable us to pursue a policy of dialogue to solve all the issues. We will be very frank and forthright in our dealing with Pakistan.

We are very clear that both our countries have a common history and we share not only borders but also common culture and traditions. Besides, the problems that we face are also common; our biggest enemy being poverty and lack of development. India and Pakistan can together write a new chapter in the development of South Asia if the two countries were to concentrate on fighting poverty and unemployment.

Will you be deterred by the fact that Pakistan responded to Vajpayee's peace initiative by launching the Kargil attack?
I will only say that we should not be constrained by what has happened in the past if the present throws up new possibilities in terms of solutions. However, as I have said, building trust between the two nations is prerequisite to any further meaningful movement on the relations and that can happen only when the terror networks operating out of Pakistan are dismantled.

Pakistan has multiple centres of power and there is universal acknowledgement that the Army calls the shots when it comes to relations with India. Will you be mindful of this reality?

It goes without saying that pragmatic foreign policy has to be guided by an understanding of the ground realities. However, I think the people in Pakistan increasingly want to strengthen the democratic institutions in Pakistan. As a responsible member of global fraternity, we would also like to work with Pakistan, like any other nation to ensure that the democratic institutions in Pakistan are strengthened.

Reciprocate in kind. That is only solution. Olive Branch for Olive branch, Surgical strikes for Terror export, Flatten the outpost for Killing a soldier in the border. Simple and easy solution.

Pak cannot maintain the tempo or status quo, Drive their military expenses out of the roof. Aggression should be met with aggression, when it is lame for the aggressor who cannot maintain the aggression.

the best part is that NaMo never said attack Pakistan but he clearly said that India should do the type of operation that the Americans did to bring Dawood to India.
Indian intelligence agencies have maintained that Dawood is in Pakistan and Pakistan have maintained that Dawood is not in Pakistan, so this reaction comes as a confirmation that DAWOOD IS IN PAKISTAN AND PAKISTAN KNOWS ABOUT HIS WHERE ABOUTS BECAUSE IT IS PAKISTAN WHO HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR HIS STAY. And I might add VERY SIMILAR TO OSAMA BIN LADEN
